The Talent Acquisition Sourcer is tasked with developing and executing innovative sourcing strategies to build robust pipelines of specialized talent for current and future roles across Sales and Marketing, Operations, Corporate Functions and other critical functions within the organization.This role focuses on the initial stages of the recruitment lifecycle, including market research, candidate identification, and engagement. You can expect high-impact responsibility, implementing sourcing strategies while partnering with an internal Talent Acquisition team member.

What You’ll be Doing

Sourcing Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for highly specialized, difficult-to-fill roles
  • Utilize advanced search techniques across various platforms, including LinkedIn Recruiter, niche job boards, professional networks, and industry directories to identify passive candidates.
  • Conduct comprehensive talent market research and competitor analysis to gain insights into talent pools, trends, and compensation benchmarks within the biotech industry.
  • Proactively source and map talent from target companies, universities, etc.

Candidate Engagement & Pipeline Management:

  • Craft and send compelling outreach messages to engage passive candidates, clearly articulating the company's employee value proposition
  • Conduct initial pre-screening calls to assess a candidate's technical qualifications, experience, cultural fit, and motivation for a career change before introducing them to the Recruiter or Hiring Manager.
  • Build, maintain, and cultivate long-term talent pipelines for critical roles using Greenhouse, our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Track and measure sourcing metrics, including conversion rates and use data to refine sourcing strategies.

Collaboration & Consulting:

  • Partner closely with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to deeply understand job requirements, technical specifications, and the desired candidate profile.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the external talent market, advising stakeholders on market availability, recruiting challenges, and effective strategies.

Compliance & Data Integrity:

  • Maintain meticulous and up-to-date candidate data within the ATS to ensure a single source of truth and reliable reporting.
  • Ensure all sourcing activities comply with relevant local employment laws and data privacy regulations.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus
  • 4+ years of dedicated talent sourcing experience, with at least 2+ years supporting commercial recruiting, preferably within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry
  • Prior experience supporting recruiting for the Commercial team is a must
  • Expert proficiency with advanced sourcing techniques
  • Proven experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Advanced proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and other social media/professional platforms for sourcing.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of commercial roles and functions within a biotech/pharma environment

The base cash compensation for this California-based role is below. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for bonus, equity, and a generous benefits package. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate skill, experience, expertise, and location and may vary from the amount listed above. Compensation may be different in other locations.
