Position Description:

The Quality Manager / Senior Quality Manager will play a critical role in elevating the quality, reliability, and overall performance of PAR’s hardware and embedded software products. This leader will oversee quality efforts across both domains—owning test strategy, process maturity, and proactive quality governance for complex, integrated systems such as our drive‑thru platform.
This role drives a shift from reactive quality management to a forward‑looking, data‑driven approach, modernizing processes, building dashboards, and improving visibility into failure modes and reliability trends. The leader will partner with Engineering, Product, Operations, and suppliers to strengthen quality rigor across purchased hardware, embedded software, and system‑level validation.

What We’re Looking For:

Requirements

• Expertise with DFMEA, PFMEA, and structured quality planning.

• Deep understanding of regulatory and compliance standards (FCC, CE).

• Ability to lead and mentor cross‑functional QA teams.

• Strong command of end‑to‑end QA processes, including test strategy, execution, and defect management.

• Proven experience leading Quality Assurance for hardware and embedded software products.

Additional skills:

• Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive quality culture.

• Ability to design and implement a scalable QMS, including supplier audits and quality rigor.

• Knowledge of Agile practices and modern QA methodologies.

• Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

• Experience with automated test frameworks for embedded systems.

• Familiarity with manufacturing test strategies such as ICT, functional testing, and burn‑in.

• Own and report key quality metrics to leadership, ensuring accountability across teams.

• Ensure traceability across requirements, testing, and change control.

• Partner with Engineering on design verification, field trials, and lifecycle quality management.

• Drive proactive quality improvement through predictive, scalable practices.

• Lead and grow a QA team, aligning work with product and organizational priorities.

• Develop and manage test plans, validation protocols, dashboards, and compliance audits.

• Define and implement a cohesive quality strategy across hardware and embedded software.
