The Sr. Proposal Manager/Technical Writer will lead proposal efforts, develop schedules and compliance matrices, collaborate with teams, and manage final submissions for accuracy and compliance.

BTI is looking for an experienced Sr. Proposal Manager/Technical Writer to join our corporate team. This person will lead the successful execution of a variety of proposal efforts from start to finish.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent time management and problem-solving abilities who thrives in fast-paced environments whose duties will include:
Organizing a complete proposal schedule for the initial submission, oral presentations, questions and answers discussions, amendments or changes, modifications
Developing compliance matrices to ensure both compliance and responsiveness to the customer's issues/needs
Developing schedules, and outlines for proposals; identifying specific tasks to be performed and areas of responsibility.
Collaborating with Senior Team Members to develop proposal strategy.
Participating in solution and strategy sessions with subject matter experts, solution architects, writers, and graphic artists.
Providing input in the design of graphics.
Coordinating Corporate staff assistance needed to complete the bid with inputs, data, text, or writing support.
Ensuring accuracy and adequacy of final work product, including in-process and final reviews, checking for compliance with applicable standards, validation, and change verification, and ensures acceptable style layout.
Ensuring that there are no inconsistencies between cost and technical volumes.
Developing/Coordinating Color Team reviews (as necessary) and prepares proposal team for the review and internal evaluation of the proposal.
Ensuring appropriate Color Team comments are incorporated in the final proposal.
Coordinating with Proposal Production to complete final production, packaging, and delivery of proposal documentation.
Managing RFIs, as needed.
Position Requirements:
5-7 years in developing and writing Shipley Framework Proposals
5-7 years of combined experience in Capture and Proposal Management
Ability to manage a proposal team.
Demonstrated experience as a Technical Writer or 5 years' experience as an IT Project Manager
