The Senior Product Marketing Manager will develop messaging and go-to-market strategies for MinIO's partnership with Databricks, focusing on AIStor integration, cross-organizational communication, and co-marketing initiatives.
The summary above was generated by AI

MinIO is the industry leader in high-performance object storage and the company behind the world’s fastest, most widely deployed object store, powering production infrastructure for more than half of the Fortune 500, including 9 of the 10 largest global automakers and all 10 of the largest U.S. banks. Our enterprise offering, AIStor, is engineered to handle the scale, speed, and pressure of modern AI and analytics, from terabytes to exabytes, all in a single namespace.

The Director, Product Marketing - Analytics Partners will play a pivotal role in shaping how MinIO is positioned within the Databricks ecosystem and the broader hybrid analytics and AI landscape. This role combines deep fluency in the modern data lakehouse, Delta Sharing, and open table formats with hands-on product marketing ownership of MinIO's most strategic data platform partnership. You will be responsible for understanding how AIStor Table Sharing extends Databricks to on-premises data, and translating that knowledge into differentiated messaging, joint content, and go to market strategies that resonate with data and AI leaders, platform engineers, and the Databricks field teams selling alongside us.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Alliances, Corporate Development, and counterparts at Databricks to craft and deliver the narratives that position AIStor as the data platform that unlocks on-premises data for Databricks. Every on-premises table connected through AIStor is a new workload running on Databricks compute, and this role owns the messaging that makes that commercial story land with Databricks account teams and end customers alike.

What You Will Do:

  • Databricks Partnership Narrative: Own the messaging and content that defines MinIO's role in the Databricks ecosystem across AIStor Table Sharing, Delta Sharing, Unity Catalog, Apache Iceberg™, and Delta Lake. Translate joint engineering work and architectural integration into co-marketing assets, reference architecture content, and customer-facing narratives that position Databricks as the hero with AIStor as the enabling data platform. Navigate across Product and Marketing across both companies to ensure that MinIO features and capabilities are tied to the newest capabilities and offerings from Databricks.
  • Executive Presence: Be the face of MinIO's marketing efforts for the Databricks partnership, representing the joint story at industry events, on webinars, in analyst briefings, and in executive conversations with Databricks and customer leadership.
  • Hybrid Analytics Positioning: Develop the technical and business positioning for AIStor Table Sharing as the bridge between on-premises data and Databricks cloud compute. Make the case for zero-copy, in-place data sharing as a required capability for enterprises with data sovereignty, time sensitivity, or scale constraints that keep critical datasets on-premises.
  • Cross-Audience Translation: Translate value across the seam between infrastructure and data teams, the two organizations that own the buying decision but don't always speak the same language. Build messaging that helps storage and infrastructure leaders bring a tangible win to their data team counterparts, and vice versa, and that gives Databricks AEs and MinIO reps a co-sell motion that covers both sides of the customer organization.
  • Partner Co-Marketing: Partner with Databricks marketing, product, and field teams to plan and execute joint launches, joint content, joint events, and co-branded technical assets. Align launch cadence and messaging with Databricks roadmap milestones and major moments like Databricks Data + AI Summit. Build durable co-marketing programs that drive pipeline for both companies.
  • Solutions Marketing for Vertical Use Cases: Build solutions content for the verticals where regulated or high-gravity on-premises data meets active Databricks footprint. Primary focus on financial services, healthcare and life sciences, manufacturing, and federal and public sector. Expansion into telecommunications, retail, automotive, and energy and utilities as the partnership matures. Each vertical becomes a defensible, field-ready story anchored in real customer outcomes.
  • Field Enablement for Joint Selling: Build and deliver the enablement content (battlecards, talk tracks, customer presentations, technical briefs, one-pagers) that lets MinIO sellers and Databricks AEs, Solutions Architects, Partner Solutions Architects, and Field CTOs confidently co-sell into hybrid analytics opportunities. Articulate the joint commercial value for Databricks account teams: every on-premises table unlocked through AIStor is net-new Databricks compute consumption.
  • Product Launch Execution: Drive the GTM strategy and execution for AIStor releases that touch the Databricks ecosystem. Coordinate cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Field, Sales including Channel Partners, and Communications to land launches that move pipeline and resonate across our technical champions and buyer personas.
  • BDR and Demand Generation Support: Partner with the BDR team to build outbound sequences, post-event follow-up programs, and inbound nurture tracks targeting Databricks-centric accounts. Equip the funnel with the right messaging at every stage.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing, with at least 3 years focused on data platforms, analytics, lakehouse architectures, or strategic partner marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience driving partner co-marketing programs with strategic technology partners such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Google Cloud, or other major data and cloud platforms.
  • Strong technical acumen on lakehouse architecture, open table formats (Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg™), data sharing protocols, and the modern data and AI stack. Fluent enough to engage credibly with Databricks product and field teams and with technical buyers at customer accounts.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear, differentiated narratives for both economic buyers (CIO, CDO, CTO, CISO, VP of Data and Analytics) and technical champions (Director of Data Engineering, Principal Data Architect, Databricks Platform Owner, Lead Data Engineer).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating sales enablement content and customer-facing materials. Tight, prose-forward copy. No reliance on bullet-heavy formatting where prose works better.
  • Track record of executing high-stakes product launches with cross-functional coordination across Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and external partners.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
  • Direct experience working with or alongside Databricks, including familiarity with Delta Sharing, Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL, Mosaic AI, or the broader Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Apache Iceberg™, Delta Lake, and the open lakehouse ecosystem, including catalog technologies and table format interoperability.
  • Background that includes time in technical roles (engineering, solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or developer relations) or in data and analytics functions.
  • Familiarity with MinIO, S3-compatible storage, or high-performance object storage for AI and analytics workloads.
  • Experience marketing into regulated industries (financial services, federal, healthcare) where data sovereignty and on-premises data gravity shape buying decisions.
  • Experience marketing to North American enterprises required. Familiarity with EU and UK enterprise data sovereignty considerations a plus, with the ability to calibrate tone for understated, factual European market communication.
