About the job

As Senior Product Manager on the Disruption Core & Commerce team, you will work at the intersection of the business, software development, data science, and user experience to create innovative solutions and intuitive user experiences to reduce the stress of traveling. You will have a competitive understanding of the travel landscape to facilitate the creation of successful new features.

On any given day - whether you’re weighing the tradeoffs of offering new features, scoping and specifying solutions with partners, or shepherding features through development - your contribution will be critical to Hopper’s current and future success.

Leveraging data science to solve customers’ problems is in Hopper’s DNA. While this began with helping customers save money by booking at the best time, we’ve also built a suite of novel Fintech products which help customers save money, retain optionality to cancel or change their trips as needed, and help them seamlessly rebook when they run into problems during their travel.

This position is on the Disruption team, focused on solving that last problem. Hopper offers a product called Disruption Assistance for Any Reason that helps customers navigate flight delays and cancellations, and ultimately get where they want to go. If a customer experiences a disruption, they can rebook themselves on any airline – for free – or get a 100% refund of their trip cost.

The Disruption team is expanding rapidly by offering our product in new distribution channels, and scaling the business into an enterprise. As the Senior Product Manager for the Disruption team, you are part of a cross functional team that is dedicated to this specific product; you will have immense impact, experience no gatekeeping, and no competing priorities, allowing you to truly focus on product work and your customers!

  • Work with customer service to understand and identify customer problem trends

  • Work with back-end and front-end engineers, designers, legal, and many other stakeholders to launch innovative features quickly and bug-free
