Summary

Are you a creative, data-driven builder who loves designing engaging experiences that connect people and create a sense of belonging? Topstep is hiring a Senior Product Manager to own our Community & Entertainment domain that will drive trader connection, social engagement, and platform loyalty. You’ll connect trader needs with compelling social features and entertainment content, align partner teams on a clear roadmap, and ship best-in-market experiences that measurably raise user activation, retention, and community participation. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep product judgment with strong execution instincts, and who’s ready to step into a space with an active, opinionated, and highly engaged trader community. You’ll shape how we think about the future of trader social engagement and help build the capabilities that turn that vision into reality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Community & Entertainment roadmap: Community engagement strategy, social feature roadmap (e.g., chat, forums, trader profiles, leaderboards), user-generated content (UGC) strategy, content/event programming, competitive analysis, and engagement experimentation.
  • Define clear problem statements and PRDs tied to trader social and entertainment goals; translate vision into requirements for complex, cross-team releases.
  • Coordinate delivery across Engineering, Design, Data, Community Managers, Marketing, Support, and Risk to ship reliable, compelling features on time.
  • Scale the trader social & entertainment offering with a rigorous A/B testing and experimentation roadmap to drive significant improvement to activation, retention, and daily active community members.
  • Establish the metrics that matter (e.g., daily active users, content interaction, UGC volume, user connections, retention) and regularly report performance; quantify feature ROI and inform resourcing trade-offs.
  • Align stakeholders on the roadmap and maintain crisp communication on scope, status, and decisions, driving value for our trader community and social eco-system.

Required Qualifications and Key Competencies

  • 5–8 years in Product Management, with material ownership of a community, social media, user-generated content, or consumer-facing entertainment product area.
  • Fluency in social & community concepts: Social product design, community management principles, user motivation psychology, UGC loops, moderation strategies, live event programming, A/B testing, engagement loops, churn analysis, customer segmentation, and go-to-market planning.
  • Data-driven operator: Comfortable designing experiments and digging into dashboards/SQL to size opportunities and prove ROI.
  • At ease with scale: Demonstrated ability to deliver releases to a high-volume user base where small changes have a material impact.
  • Execution & coordination: Proven record aligning multiple teams and shipping complex releases without losing the thread on outcomes.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication with the ability to create structure in ambiguity and drive clear decisions.
  • Laser customer focus and experience partnering with Research, Marketing, Community, and Content to refine personas, confidently position, and release best-in-market social and entertainment experiences.

Company Culture & Perks

  • Topstep is an engaging working environment which ranges from fully remote to hybrid. We foster a culture of collaboration with cameras on during meetings and a robust Slack environment for communication.
  • 10 Company paid Holidays and generous Family Leave. Paid time off is accrued monthly.

  • Vacations are encouraged with a bonus for taking 5 consecutive days. Employee referrals are bonused. Topstep offers a food and groceries budget and contributes towards health and wellness.

New Hire Base Salary Range

  • $160,000-$190,000
  • Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
  • The compensation offered will take into account internal compensation structure and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
