Are you excited to build next-generation robotics products? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where flexibility, autonomy, and collaboration are key? If you're passionate about creating software that bridges elegant front end design with robust backend systems—and want to shape how humans interact with advanced robotic platforms—we invite you to join us at Cobot as a Sr Product Engineer, 3D Computer Vision.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy variety, ambiguity, and the opportunity to make a broad impact across user-facing features and underlying systems. You'll collaborate across teams to help bring novel robotics products to life—crafting seamless user experiences while ensuring the software foundation can scale.

Join us to reimagine the future of human-robot interaction.

Collaborative Robotics is a team of innovators and builders redefining the future of human-robot interaction. We are working to realize a world where robots are a trusted extension of your surroundings. They work, adapt, and react around you. Not the other way around.

This role is preferably based onsite at our Santa Clara, CA headquarters or our Seattle office, though remote candidates will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the end-to-end design and architecture for Cobot’s ScoutMap product.

  • Contribute to backend systems as needed to support end-to-end product functionality.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, product, and design to define and build scalable solutions.

  • Debug and troubleshoot across the stack to resolve technical challenges and ensure a reliable user experience.

  • Operate in a startup environment—balancing speed and scrappiness with technical rigor.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, ideally in a full stack role

  • Strong backend development experience.

  • Familiarity with 3D reconstruction techniques and 3D data formats (point clouds, meshes) and visualization requirements.

  • Some front end experience (e.g. React, Three.js, and/or WebGL) for integration/debugging.

  • Highly motivated teammate with excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, collaborative and dynamic start-up environment as part of a small team.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site support or testing, as needed.

  • Must have and maintain US work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with LiDAR, 3D mapping, or robotics perception data.

  • Knowledge of Gaussian splatting and AI-driven video search.

  • Experience with NVIDIA Omniverse, Unity, or similar simulation/visualization engines.

  • Prior work in robotics, autonomy tools, or AR/VR systems.

The base salary range for this position is $180,000-235,000 plus equity and comprehensive benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and experience level. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the noted geographic area.
