We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. We recognize that mental health issues can be complex and multifaceted, and we are dedicated to treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.
We aim to create a world where mental health is no longer stigmatized or marginalized, but rather is embraced as an integral part of one's overall well-being.
We believe that by providing quality care that is both evidence-based and compassionate, we can empower individuals to take charge of their mental health and achieve their full potential. We are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those struggling with mental health issues and we strive to be a force for positive change in the field of mental healthcare.
About the Role
We’re shaping the future of mental health care with AI-enabled experiences that enhance, not replace, the human connection at the core of therapy. Our north star is clinically-grounded and responsible AI designed to bring greater transparency, personalization, and continuous support across the therapy journey. Our work transforms therapy into an experience that’s more connected and accessible. As we expand our portfolio of AI experiences, we’re scaling our team to drive innovation and set a new standard for mental health care.
We’re seeking a Sr. Product Designer to join our AI-supported therapy team, where we’re reimagining how mental health care can be delivered through thoughtful product design and intelligent AI support. This role will focus heavily on native mobile experiences (iOS and Android) while collaborating on cross-platform design solutions.
You’ll be responsible for creating user-centered workflows that make therapy more accessible, engaging, and effective. Ideal candidates are excited by the opportunity to combine strong mobile design expertise with emerging AI-powered features—building products that empower therapists and support patients on their mental health journey.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in Product Design with a strong portfolio demonstrating shipped products.
Proven experience designing native mobile applications (iOS + Android), with a track record of launching high-quality mobile-first products
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, engineering, and (ideally) AI/ML partners.
Mastery of Figma for end-to-end product design, prototyping, and design system contribution.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly articulate design decisions and tradeoffs.
Preferred Qualifications
While having the preferred qualifications enhances your candidacy, having all of them is not mandatory. We encourage all interested applicants to apply, even those who may not meet every preferred requirement.
Exposure to designing experiences that incorporate AI or machine learning (e.g., personalization, intelligent assistance).
Experience designing interfaces for high-trust domains
Experience conducting and integrating user research into the design process.
Experience with cross-platform design systems (building or contributing to design systems that span iOS, Android, and web) — helps ensure scalability and consistency across Rula’s ecosystem.
Familiarity with accessibility standards for mobile (WCAG, iOS Accessibility APIs, Android Accessibility Suite) — ensures our AI-supported therapy products are inclusive for all users.
Experience with motion design and micro-interactions for mobile (e.g., animations, transitions, haptic feedback) — ability to elevate usability and delight in AI-supported mobile experiences.
