Our pioneering and inventive spirit has enabled us to be at the forefront of many technological advancements in our nation's history - from the first flight across the Atlantic Ocean, to stealth bombers, to landing on the moon. We look for people who have bold new ideas, courage and a pioneering spirit to join forces to invent the future, and have fun along the way. Our culture thrives on intellectual curiosity, cognitive diversity and bringing your whole self to work — and we have an insatiable drive to do what others think is impossible. Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.

Northrop Grumman's Classified Solutions organization has an immediate need for a Software Development Analyst to develop service solutions in the ServiceNow platform, to include creating new items and modifying current infrastructure with little impact to the production environment. The selected candidate should be familiar with SAFe Agile practices and the IT Service Management module in ServiceNow, and should possess strong customer service skills for interfacing with stakeholders, helping to refine requirements to meet business needs, design solutions, and develop and implement features. This role will coordinate with service and process workflow owners across a wide variety of services to determine requirements and drive best practice scenarios. The deliverables produced in this role will enable self-service solutions in line with the company's strategic goals, resulting in customer satisfaction and time and cost savings.

  • Mentoring, training, and demonstrating to other professionals, as required.

  • Collaborating with product owners and stakeholders to prioritize efforts to ensure continuous value to the business.

  • Use of various communication channels and software to interact with virtual customers and development teams.

  • Creating technical documentation of software changes.

  • Performing emergency on-call duties.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree with 11 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 9 years of experience, or Master's degree with 7 years of experience; a High School Diploma or equivalent with 13 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.

  • Candidates must have a current DoD Top Secret/SCI level security clearance (at a minimum), to include a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years, or must be enrolled in the DoD Continuous Evaluation Program (CEP), in order to be considered; the required security clearance must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.

  • A minimum of 5 years of development experience with ServiceNow.

  • Competence as a developer utilizing ServiceNow’s App Engine to create applications and digital workflows.

  • Proficient in the development of technical solutions such as JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell.

  • Understanding of SQL database connections, object structures, and queries.

  • Ability to research new technologies for solution creation.

  • Self-motivated, creative problem-solver who can adapt to new technologies and evolving customer requirements.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Solid organizational skills and an ability to juggle multiple assignments and manage changing priorities.

  • Great attention to detail and strong conceptual, analytical, and planning skills.

  • Capable of working independently as well as in team and cross-team environments.

  • Ability to travel, on occasion, to support different locations.

  • Demonstrated experience in and adherence to Agile methodologies.

  • Experience with HTML and JavaScript.

  • Experience with defining user stories and ensuring stories comply with the SAFe Agile definition of done.

  • Experience in release, unit, and user acceptance testing.

Preferred Qualifications:
