Job Description
As a Sr Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Enterprise Technology, AI/ML & Data Platforms organization you provide expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies, as well as support the adoption of strategic global solutions. Leverage your advanced architecture capabilities and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes.
Our team delivers comprehensive data management solutions for making J.P Morgan Chase data discoverable, understandable, observable, trustworthy, accessible, and interoperable for authorized personas to drive BI and AI/ML initiatives with agility and velocity. It includes center of excellences for multiple product domains, such as Data Lake Services, Data Migrations Services, Unified Data Catalog and Controls, Entitlements Services and Data Analytics & Business Intelligence services, to drive digital transformation, cloud adoption and AI/ML capabilities throughout the firm.
Job responsibilities
  • Design and implement a data mesh architecture that decentralizes data ownership and management across domain teams.
  • Develop and maintain data architecture standards, including data product interfaces, data contracts, and governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with domain teams to understand their data needs and provide guidance on best practices for data product development.
  • Leverage AWS services (e.g., AWS Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda) to build scalable and secure data solutions.
  • Implement data governance and security measures to ensure data quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance and scalability of data products and infrastructure.
  • Provide training and support to domain teams on data mesh principles and AWS technologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data mesh and cloud computing.
  • Champion the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on Data Architecture concepts and 10+ years of applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Expertise in one or more programming language(s) preference Python and Java
  • Expert level experience with AWS or other Public Cloud providers
  • Expert level with Databricks, Snowflake, Starburst, Trino, AWS Database & Analytics
  • Hands on experience in working on BI and AI/ML solutions with business stakeholders and data scientists
  • Influencer with a proven record of successfully driving change and transforming across organizational boundaries
  • Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives
