About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior People Operations Manager to lead high-impact initiatives across compliance, systems, and employee experience in an AI-orchestrated workplace. In this senior individual contributor role, you’ll own critical People Ops processes and collaborate cross-functionally with People Tech, Legal, Security, and internal AI teams to design, maintain, and evolve intelligent infrastructure that powers the employee lifecycle.

You’ll apply AI-enabled solutions including bots, copilots, and knowledge agents to automate onboarding, policy delivery, compliance tracking, and support. Your focus won’t just be efficiency—it will be reimagining how People Operations is delivered at scale in one of the most AI-native companies in the industry.

What you will do
  • Own and optimize People Ops processes across the all employee lifecycle events
  • Ensure compliance with multi-state and international employment laws, in collaboration with Legal and Security
  • Develop and maintain clear, secure SOPs and documentation and support achievement of service level agreements
  • Monitor metrics, AI performance signals, and employee feedback to iterate and improve People Ops delivery while considering AI advantages
  • Work with Director, People Operations to shape a strategy that promotes growth, innovation, and improvement
  • Partner with internal AI and People Tech teams to build and orchestrate intelligent workflows across systems like Workday, ServiceNow, and Slack
  • Seek and review potential blockers of the various People Operations processes, recommending improvements, automation, and AI where necessary. 
  • Design and maintain AI-powered knowledge systems for self-service support, policy access, and onboarding
  • Define how LLMs and agents interact with core People systems and ensure security, compliance, and usability while also considering AI for documentation and inquiry resolution
  • Support HR systems operations, data audits, and compliance workflows
  • Lead policy updates reflecting evolving legal and business requirements
Must Haves
  • 8+ years of People Operations or HR experience with strong process ownership
  • Deep knowledge of onboarding/offboarding, HR compliance, and policy management
  • Fluency with tools like Workday, ServiceNow, Greenhouse, Lattice—and experience integrating them into workflows
  • Experience applying AI tools to streamline workflows or improve employee support
  • Ability to use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Bard, Glean) to support employee inquiries, draft HR content, or manage documentation
  • Proven organizational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to demonstrate integrity and maintain a high level of confidentiality 
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Experience supporting scaling teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Prior experience launching or scaling AI-powered employee support systems (e.g., bots, agents, self-service portals)
  • Familiarity with self-service models, AI agents, or tiered support structures in People Ops
  • Interest in or experience adopting AI tools to improve HR documentation, inquiry resolution, or onboarding
  • Prior experience with global HR compliance or supporting international populations
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
  • Passion for improving employee experiences through secure, scalable, and tech-forward People systems

At Abnormal AI, certain roles are eligible for a bonus, restricted stock units (RSUs), and benefits. Individual compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons. 

Base salary range:
$170,000$200,000 USD
