JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Overview
Green Dot Corporation is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join the NE Team, responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure and scalable network infrastructure supporting enterprise applications and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and support enterprise network infrastructure across public cloud and on-prem environments.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot latency, packet loss, and connectivity issues.
- Implement network automation and orchestration using tools like Ansible, Python, or Terraform.
- Collaborate with InfoSec and DevOps teams to ensure secure and compliant network operations.
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for network-related issues.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cross-functional technical initiatives.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure operations.
- Deep expertise in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and subnetting.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet devices.
- Proficiency in cloud networking (AWS and Azure), including VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, and VPNs, VNets, and Express Routes.
- Familiarity with SD-WAN, network segmentation, and zero-trust architectures.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Datadog, Prometheus) and logging frameworks (e.g., ELK).
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, SOC 2).

The targeted base salary for this position is $87,500 to $131,100 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.<<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>>
