The Team

The Pricing Team at Quill is a high-impact, data-driven unit responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing pricing strategies across Website, B2B, and other channels to drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and competitive positioning. The Senior Pricing Manager leads the pricing strategy and execution, playing a key role in profitability, optimizing pricing structures, and enhancing the company’s competitive position. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging advanced analytics to simulate scenarios and optimize price points, while providing actionable updates for Senior Leadership.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and implement comprehensive pricing strategies aligned with company objectives, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.

  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer segmentation to identify pricing opportunities and challenges.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in executing pricing strategies, collaborating with merchandising, marketing, finance, and Membership & Loyalty departments.

  • Utilize advanced analytics and pricing models to evaluate performance, identify improvement areas, and test strategies using A/B testing.

  • Drive pricing optimization initiatives using data-driven insights to refine structures, discount strategies, and promotional pricing.

  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitor actions, and customer behavior to proactively adjust pricing for maximum profitability.

  • Establish robust pricing governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry best practices.

  • Implement effective controls and review mechanisms to mitigate risks and maintain pricing integrity.

  • Provide guidance to sales teams in negotiations, contract renewals, and customer-specific pricing strategies.

  • Collaborate with Merchandising to assess pricing implications of new products and offerings.

  • Regularly present reports and updates on pricing performance, market trends, and competitive analysis to senior leadership.

  • Drive financial forecasting accuracy by modeling pricing sensitivities and seasonal demand.

  • Champion automation opportunities and adoption of cutting-edge pricing technologies to drive efficiency.

  • Serve as the primary pricing voice, translating complex pricing science into actionable business narratives for leadership.

What you bring to the table
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field (advanced degree is a plus).

  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in strategic pricing management, strategy development, and execution, preferably in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and profitability through effective pricing strategies.

  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience leading and developing high-performing pricing teams.

  • Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical skills, and proficiency in data analysis tools and pricing software.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex pricing concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, pricing methodologies, and optimization techniques.

  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to analyze profitability and margin calculations.

  • Detail-oriented mindset focused on accuracy, data integrity, and compliance.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and manage multiple projects concurrently.

What’s Needed – Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field.

  • 10+ years’ work experience in Data Analytics or Pricing.

  • 5+ years’ experience with SQL, Excel, Alteryx, BI tools utilizing customer data.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, Snowflake, and Python.

The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation.
