Job Summary

To focus on growing the Engineered Valve product grouping within the WTP & WWTP market segment. Prospects and analyzes business opportunities through our sales teams and market engagement. Identifies, pursues, and acquires profitable business relationships to help support and grow a product initiative. Develops leads, conducts pre-proposal visitations, and assists technical staff with proposal preparations. Helps to lead negotiations to obtain new customers or opportunities when there’s an Engineered Valve component to our offering.

Responsible for pre bid strategies across multiple regions alongside the respective Sales Managers. Ensures the delivery of best-in-class material scope proposals and works in partnership with account and sales executives.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Develops training support centered around the specific product group for our Pre-Bid and Estimating support teams for treatment plant projects.
  • Meets with regional sales and regional leadership regularly to establish and implement improvements and best practices.
  • Determine market opportunities for new products and services and proper alignment across the territories with the different brands of valves and said reps.
  • Develops market strategies and sales goals for vendor partners within the different pockets of our market
  • Provide direction and guidance for new product line viability. Ensure timely introduction and maturation of product offerings.
  • Partner and assist in the development of pricing strategies for each new product line add.
  • Provide project management support or oversight where necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years in waterworks industry.
  • 7+ years experience in direct management of estimating managers
  • 5+ years experience with direct management responsibilities overseeing multiple states and multiple estimating and pre-bid teams.

Environmental Job Requirements

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area.
  • Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
