Job Description
The Senior Manager will be responsible for helping to define and drive execution for the overall strategy, objectives, and joint-business plans for three key distribution partners . Reporting to the Team Lead in Distribution Sales, this person will collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders and leverage best in class tools, systems and processes to maximize impact.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute Joint Business Plan to drive growth, unlock value and deliver concrete KPIs while holding customer accountable to commitments
  • Strategic grower of key customer relationships across different categories, functions and leadership throughout the customer
  • Leverage data to identify and better understand opportunities within the customer and market
  • Manage trade program to optimize growth opportunities and profitability
  • Develop annual and quarterly, mutually agreed to marketing and sales support plans
  • Generate profitable sales by selling solutions that meet the customer's needs
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations & Planning, especially on building & managing the monthly forecast and vetting incremental growth opportunities
  • Build and manage an opportunity pipeline
  • Drive branded market share, SKU and operator penetration
  • Lead the RFP, contract negotiation and JBP processes
  • Build effective proposals and negotiate to agreement based on customer needs, consumer insights, customer/market opportunity and the customer's decision criteria
  • Take accountability for delivering against sales targets
  • Collaborate closely with cross functional partners
  • Provide strategic insights and data-driven intelligence to the business

Expected Experience & Required Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience required with a demonstration of sales management resulting in profitable volume, customer penetration and relationship building, managing a trade budget and achieving consistent, profitable growth
  • Experience in CPG, restaurant, culinary, and/or foodservice distributor industry
  • Command of business & financial acumen demonstrated by discernment that not every sales opportunity is equal and a track record of securing profitable volume and walking away from less profitable opportunities
  • Strong analytical skills demonstrated by previous experience utilizing systems for tracking and recording sales, effective business planning and data-driven strategy for maintaining current and securing new customer relationships
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, demonstrated by the ability to build a customer-ready presentation (leveraging strong PowerPoint/ Excel skills), effective presentation, influence, and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders
  • Passion to challenge the status quo and find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas
  • Not afraid to "roll up sleeves" with individual contributor responsibilities; seeks to go beyond comfort to learn & pushes teams to do the same

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$118,400.00 - $148,000.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
