KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:

  • Develop and lead execution of pladis North America’s Value & Specialty Channel vision, strategy and tactics to achieve both short & long-term business objectives

  • Guide sales team in joint value creation by utilizing data, insights and customer understanding to develop a multi-year business plan that delivers mutual benefit

  • Operate as a business owner to deliver ambitious financial (gross sales, net sales, commercial profit, optimized trade spend and forecast accuracy), customer service, forecast accuracy, and consumption (sales and share growth) goals

  • Set clear direction that motivates and inspires our broker partners to deliver results; conduct regular cadence of business reviews to ensure attainment

  • Cultivate relationships with senior level-merchandising personnel and key decision makers across multiple functions within strategic customers

  • Lead negotiation of annual customer agreements and trade spend plans

  • Work closely with senior sales and marketing leaders to develop annual volume targets and associated profitability metrics.

  • Maintain strong pulse on the business through analysing consumption and consumer/shopper data, adapting plans, as needed

  • Have direct oversight of order to cash management on all applicable accounts

  • Accountable for communicating internally channel team’s performance through KPI scorecard

  • Up to 40% of travel is required

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Experience in Direct Sales/Customer Development, Commercial Strategy, Sales Analytics/Planning, Category Management, and/or Commercial Finance

  • Direct account and broker management are must haves; Strong preference for experience with Value and Specialty Market customers

  • Demonstrated ability to develop channel strategy with a strong command of 4P (product/price/promotion/placement) execution

  • Strong financial acumen with Customer P&L management and expert negotiation and influencing skills

  • Superior understanding of retail marketplace dynamics and customer growth strategies

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skill – written and verbal

  • Advanced analytical skills

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Drive, commitment and sense of urgency that inspires others to be their best and achieve results

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Syndicated Data (IR/Nielsen/Numerator), SPINS & Customer POS Data, Power BI, TPM and ERP systems

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • B.S. is required; MBA is a plus

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in the CPG or Food Industry; Confections or snacking category expertise a plus

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

Base starting salary ranges from $122k - $184k/year. The base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role includes:

  • An annual incentive opportunity, awarded based on individual and company performance.
