About the Role:We are seeking a strategic and process-driven Sr Manager of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) with a strong focus on operations planning, resource management, and labor modeling. This role is responsible for aligning business objectives with operational capabilities by driving integrated planning across compounding, logistics, inventory planning, and workforce planning. The ideal candidate excels at turning business forecasts into executable operations plans, balancing capacity, labor, and materials to meet service and cost targets.
You Will:Lead the Operations Planning Process: Own and facilitate the weekly S&OP meeting with a focus on converting demand signals into executable operations plans.
Develop KPIs to appropriately drive accountability on plan execution
Fulfillment Capacity Planning: Oversee medium to long range planning and capacity management, ensuring alignment with personnel, equipment, and material capabilities.
Labor & Resource Planning:
Develop labor models based on forecasted volumes, productivity targets, and shift structures.
Partner with HR and operations leadership to align staffing plans with operational demand.
Anticipate workforce needs by analyzing trends in volume, seasonal spikes, and strategic initiatives.
Recommend strategies for cross-training, temporary staffing, or overtime based on capacity constraints.
Operational Scenario Modeling: Conduct scenario analysis to simulate the impact of volume changes, labor availability, or supply disruptions on operational execution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with compounding, logistics, planning, and finance to ensure operational readiness across all functions.
Process Optimization: Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in planning processes to improve throughput, reduce cost, and increase labor efficiency.
Performance Management & Reporting: Build dashboards and KPIs to monitor plan adherence, resource utilization, labor efficiency, and production performance.
Executive Communication: Present operational insights and capacity trade-offs to leadership to support timely and informed decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain,or related field (MBA or Master’s preferred).
8+ years of experience in operations planning, resource management, or labor modeling in a manufacturing, logistics, or industrial setting.
5+ years of experience managing a team of at least 5 direct reports
Expertise in workforce planning, labor forecasting, and operational modeling.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with advanced skills using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau or labor planning software.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of cross-functional leadership and communication to senior leadership
Experience implementing labor planning tools or workforce management systems.
Up to 10% travel
