PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $147,100.00-$179,700.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $114,400.00 - $212,400.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. As the Sr. Manager of Public Relations and Digital Community, you’ll elevate BECU’s social and editorial presence by building a strong foundation and bringing fresh, creative energy to our member-facing content. From innovating our social media strategy to creating engaging content that reflects our values, your work will strengthen trust, drive engagement, and bring fun and authenticity to our digital voice. You’ll collaborate across teams to ensure a cohesive brand experience and set up the foundation for innovative programs that connect deeply with members. To join our dynamic team in this role, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, CA, AZ, TX, NC, SC, GA or VA. If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance to our Tukwila Headquarters (TFC), we encourage you come into the office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays each week. For those candidates that live outside the commutable distance to TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be primarily remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Lead Social & Editorial Programs: Oversee BECU’s social media and editorial strategy, ensuring content is fresh, engaging, and aligned with our brand vision.
Meet Audiences Where They Are: Ensure our social tools and programs evolve with social media and audience trends.
Monitor Online Presence: Manage reviews and listings on platforms like Yelp and Google to maintain a positive reputation.
Collaborate for Brand Cohesion: Work closely with Marketing and Product to create processes that ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
Innovate Content: Drive creative editorial initiatives that captivate audiences and showcase community impact and employee stories.
Measure Success: Establish KPIs for engagement and follower growth and use insights to optimize strategies.
Lead and Develop Your Team: Mentor and inspire a talented group, building leadership layers and fostering growth.
Serve as a Member of the Communications Leadership Team: Help build the future of BECU communications, provide executive counsel and strategic direction while mentoring and inspiring a broad group of communicators.
Manage Partnerships & Budgets: Oversee agencies, freelancers, and budget allocations to deliver high-quality results.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, marketing, communications, or equivalent experience.
Typically requires a minimum of five years of experience in public relations and/or digital content marketing, including strategy development and program management.
Typically requires a minimum of five years of media relations or content marketing experience with established strategic relationships.
Typically requires a minimum of five years of management experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Proven success in leading public relations and digital marketing programs that drive brand awareness.
Strong editorial and digital engagement background (consumer brand mentality preferred).
Experience with video content strategy and influencer partnerships.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Ability to innovate and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
