Job Description

Provide leadership to diverse team who provide in-person and virtual support for experienced advisors who join the firm. This leadership includes working with both the team members as well as our AAG/AFG/AFIG field partners to coordinate assignments and ensure a high quality referrable advisor and client experience. Provide coaching, development and support to staff members to ensure timely and accurate execution of daily functions, while meeting all compliance and regulatory requirements. Drive implementation of process improvements ensuring all processes and procedures are appropriately documented. Serve as leader resource and subject matter expert in project and business driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and coaching to direct reports, including providing work direction and support to team on process, procedures, escalated and complex issues. Assign travel location and duration. Develop methods to measure and report on department performance, ensuring resources are properly allocated and workload is managed to meet all accuracy, transactional processing, quality metrics and standards, and compliance and regulatory requirements.  

  • Partner closely with field leadership members during the planning and execution of the onboarding of an experienced advisor recruit. This includes looking for solutions for escalations and well as modifying team travel schedules to cover changing circumstances.

  • Occasional travel to support onboardings and/or observe team members.

  • Drive and provide leadership to implement process improvements, proactively identifying and resolving complex business issues to improve efficiencies and increase operational effectiveness.  Provide oversight of policies and procedures, ensuring all procedures are appropriately documented and reviewed to meet compliance and regulatory requirements.  Work with internal and external business partners to effectively identify and minimize risk. 

  • Serve as lead resource and subject matter expert in projects and business driven initiatives within team and across Service and Operations, that generally have larger enterprise-wide impacts.    

  • Provide leadership and coaching to management team through appropriate leadership techniques, including goal setting, managing performance, coaching and developing staff to promote both individual and team success.  Provide leadership and guidance on all levels of processes and procedures as well as compliance and regulatory requirements.  Consider impacts related to implemented changes and communicates appropriately.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High school or GED

  • Previous experience with onboarding of experienced advisor recruits including onsite management of the onboarding

  • Knowledge of the Ameriprise field organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent (4-years)

*Post-secondary education and relevant work experience may be interchanged to meet the combined total years of minimum required qualifications for
education and experience.

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $93,400-$128,400/year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
