Sr Manager, Infrastructure Engineering - Data Center Networking Engineering

Your Impact
The primary purpose of this role is to lead a team of multi-disciplinary infrastructure engineers in Data Center Network Engineering that develop and support on-premises IT Infrastructure systems in our enterprise data centers, which is a 24x7x365 mission critical organization. This team is responsible for deployment, decommission, firmware maintenance, life cycle management, and automation for the network layer. The network layer includes server and storage connectivity, switches, routers, and network fabrics. This team is also responsible for researching, testing, developing, and implementing new technologies and services for the data center network engineering team. This role requires close collaboration with other IT infrastructure teams, an understanding of agile development and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)/Infrastructure as Code, as well as a focus on continuous improvement.
This individual manages people which includes responsibility for setting individual and team expectations, delegating assignments and managing performance, identifying talent needs, and coaching and developing team members.
As a Senior Manager over infrastructure engineers in supporting our data center networks this individual will assist with developing roadmaps, establishing strategies, onboarding new services, and creating training plans.

Key Responsibilities • Data Center Network Fabric - Design and support Software Defined Network (SDN) fabrics enabling enterprise scale servers, storage, hypervisors, virtual machines, and containerized workloads• Core Routing - Design and support core routers, switches, and routing protocols interconnecting the enterprise data centers to the Cloud, corporate, and retail locations• Cloud Interconnect - Design and support interconnections of multiple Cloud and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environments.• Manages technical teams in the translation of business requirements and functional specifications into technical requirements that support integrated and sustainable designs for infrastructure systems across multiple technical domains or platforms • Leads global teams that design, build and maintain infrastructure systems; includes responsibility for teams that provide all tiers of infrastructure support to the organization • Builds and maintains partnerships with cross-functional leadership to understand short and long-term business needs and functional specifications and to ensure technology solutions support integrated business strategies • Conducts analyses on the effectiveness of the infrastructure and makes recommendations for the adoption of new procedures • Provides leadership to the team by attracting and hiring talented individuals, setting goals and communicating clear expectations, providing timely and constructive feedback as well as meaningful developmental opportunities, managing performance, providing resources and support as needed, and sponsoring and leading team members through change
Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)• 8 years of IT experience• 4 years of infrastructure engineering experience working across multiple domains, platforms, or specialty areas• 3 years of experience leading project or technical teams with or without formal direct report responsibility; this includes experience providing technical direction, thought leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members
