You will collaborate across Finance, Business, and Technology teams. Responsibilities include defining the future state vision to achieve operational and financial goals, sharing leading practices, and managing Finance Transformation projects end-to-end, and delivering long-term and short-term value.
You will use your experience to implement transformation programs like Quote to Cash (QTC), Record to Report (RTR), and Procure to Pay (PTP). Your role involves driving change through policy, process improvements, and system implementations to address finance and accounting needs and lead operational improvements.
Working at Atlassian
Atlassians can choose where they work - whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
Your future team
Our Finance Transformation team comprises people with backgrounds in Finance, Accounting, Technology, and Strategic Operations. • Lead Finance Transformation projects end-to-end across processes (QTC, RTR, PTP), with an understanding of strategic goals, timelines, and budgets.
  • Lead projects with both long-term and short-term benefits, including driving future state process and policy improvements, reporting needs, program and change management, providing business support to vendor selection and systems implementations, and promoting a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Engage with team members across business functions, engineering, technical program managers, and data to implement process / policy improvements, including technology solutions.
  • Develop compelling business cases, case for change presentations, and influence leaders.
  • Identify, scope, and prioritize projects based on our needs. Develop detailed project plans, including approach, timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.
  • Manage and communicate changes to program status, risks, and dependencies. Evaluate, and escalate program issues and conflicts and suggest resolutions to mitigate risk.
  • Define data-driven frameworks and processes to identify, measure, and manage program success, focusing on value realization, including industry benchmarking.
  • Expand your knowledge of the latest technologies, such as AI and machine learning, industry trends, and best practices in transformation, and apply this expertise to your work.

  • 10+ years proven track record in managing and delivering large-scale, complex finance transformation programs.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Finance Transformation, including areas such as QTC, PTP, and RTR. Experience in Global Business Services/Shared Services strategy and enablement is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of finance processes, systems, policies, and data, including process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ownership mentality, excels when challenging the status quo, setting new strategic/operational direction and is comfortable with multi-year transformation efforts.
  • Experience working with Project and Portfolio Management tools such as Jira.
