Overview:
We're seeking a skilled and strategic Sr. Integrations Developer to lead the charge in building and maintaining seamless, secure, and scalable integrations across our enterprise ecosystem. Position Location: Remote

Travel: Up to 20% (go-live support / meetings at Warehouse sites and IDL office locations)

Competitive Compensation: We offer a competitive salary of $90,000 – 135,000, plus a performance-based bonus, along with comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, PTO, sick time, and company holidays. Compensation is based on experience, skills, and education.

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-End API Lifecycle Management

  • Own the full API lifecycle—from design, development, and deployment to monitoring, versioning, and retirement.
  • Drive consistent API governance, documentation, and versioning strategies.
  • Ensure security and compliance using OAuth, JWT, API gateways, and understanding of current regulations.

Integration Architecture

  • Design and maintain robust integration patterns: REST, SOAP, GraphQL, Event-driven, Webhooks, and more.
  • Develop complex service orchestration flows with built-in error handling, message transformation, retries, and recovery.

Middleware & IPaaS Expertise

  • Support and optimize enterprise-scale middleware and integration platforms in a large, complex organization.

Comprehensive EDI lifecycle expertise from partner onboarding to transaction monitoring and compliance

  • Strong expertise with EDI standards (including X12, EDIFACT and others), EDI transaction sets, mapping EDI documents, communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, FTP, VAN) and data formats (XML,JSON).
Preferred Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10 + years experience as a Senior Integrations Developer supporting modern integration platforms and EDI in a large enterprise environment with proficiency in Java, Python, Node.js.
  • Hands-on experience across the full API lifecycle including API Specifications (Swagger / OpenAPI),  API lifecycle platforms (Postman), API Security (OAuth, JWT), API Gateway and API Governance. Must have experience in implementing Enterprise APIs for consumption by external partners in a B2B environment.
  • Strong expertise with EDI standards (including X12, EDIFACT and others), EDI transaction sets (3PL transactions), mapping EDI documents, communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, FTP, VAN) and data formats (XML,JSON).
  • Proficient working on an enterprise class Integration platform
  • Expertise in designing integration solutions using various patterns (REST, SOAP, GraphQL, event-driven, webhooks, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of databases, including SQL (SQL, PostgreSQL ) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis)
  • Ability to establish development / governance best practices and mentor other team members
  • Able to work across teams and support PMO processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and container-based deployment models, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience working in 3PL and eCommerce environments with familiarity in integrations with warehouse, transportation, order fulfillment, packaging, dock management and material handling systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
