We are looking for a creative, passionate and well-rounded individual to join our Financial services marketing team to help us focus on key subverticals like retail banking, capital markets, and insurance. Our mission is to bridge the gap between technology and business needs with powerful industry messaging and solutions. This is a highly collaborative strategic role that works closely with many other functions to go deeper in one of our biggest industries.

As a Sr. Industry Marketing Manager at Databricks, you will guide messaging, content and GTM programs within the Financial Services industry marketing team. You will work with sales, other marketers and our customers to build awareness, demand generation and sales enablement programs that help achieve pipeline goals. You will also create thought leadership content through editorials, blogs, white papers, industry and partner events. This role reports to the Director of Industry Solutions Marketing.

Ideal candidates will have a proven record of impact in the Financial Services vertical, tech understanding, and expertise specifically in Financial Services use cases and solutions. You’ll have a broad understanding of the industry and have a strong point of view from working with customers and partners on what comes next. Finally, you’ll have experience building strategies to engage financial services personas, from practitioners to decision-makers.

The impact you will have:

  • Develop messaging and content that articulate Databricks’ platform capabilities, differentiating value, and solutions for Financial Services companies across areas like insurance, capital markets, and retail banking.
  • Partner with go-to-market, sales, and other marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns for business leaders and decision-makers.
  • Create the core messaging and content for digital programs, field marketing, sales engagements, and channel marketing.
  • Create targeted content to create awareness in the industry including infographics, ebooks, articles, blogs, videos and other customer-facing materials.
  • Work with customers to build compelling content for high-profile speaking engagements, customer case studies, videos, and brand campaigns.
  • Manage industry solution launches.Research customer and market trends to help inform content development and enablement.
  • Work with industry SMEs to build sales tools, enablement and training e.g. sales plays, sales presentations, battlecards, and prospecting templates.
  • Drive our industry event strategy for specific subverticals in Financial Services - specifically focused on engagement with executives.

What we look for:

  • 7+ years of experience marketing and/or deploying technology solutions within the Financial Services Sector.
  • Proven track record in developing positioning and messaging for complex B2B products.
  • Developing and implementing the product marketing vision and strategy for Financial Services solutions.
  • Creating and managing content, media outreach, and other marketing activities related to the Financial Services sector.
  • Conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform product positioning
  • Experience with cloud, big data, data analytics, data warehouse, and/or AI/ML technologies, with a proven ability to translate the highly technical to relevant use cases and outcomes preferred.
  • Deep understanding of the technology solutions and operating models driving Financial Services companies - industry context is a plus.
  • Experience as both a subject matter expert and marketer with strength in storytelling, creative, strategy, and execution.
  • Customer-facing experience presenting to executives and decision-makers at relevant events, executive briefings, and sales meetings.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced matrix environment.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with tactical execution.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales tracking tools.

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipated utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
