We are seeking an experienced team member to co-lead Elastic's partner marketing relationship, strategy and execution, and support growth projects for the business. In this role you will improve the value of our annual funding from AWS by developing and implementing high-impact marketing programs that drive revenue growth and market expansion.
Elastic's Global Partner Marketing team is small but mighty. We are a start-up group working to build scalable processes, programs and content to use in amplifying our go-to-market opportunities around the world. This role will primarily be assigned to support our partnership with AWS.
What You Will Be Doing- Partner Relationship and Strategy
This role requires continuously positioning Elastic as a strategic, smart, easy-to-work-with partner to help increase focus within AWS while using global regional marketing resources to deliver impactful marketing programs. You will be responsible for growing relationships at both worldwide and regional levels at AWS, researching and proposing new marketing programs to support the joint Elastic and AWS go-to-market strategy. Additionally, you'll promote our partner ecosystem, especially AWS, internally within Elastic by collaborating with Regional Marketing, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Communications, and other teams to extend partner impact throughout the organization.
- Program Development and Execution
You will support the execution of GTM marketing programs globally that drive engagement and pipeline for both Elastic and AWS business, helping deliver impactful campaigns and events while exploring new tactics and mediums across virtual and in-person events, ABM marketing, digital marketing, and other innovative approaches. This role involves delivering programs in pilot phases and then packaging them for Regional Field Marketing teams to run programmatically, all while leading multiple sophisticated programs and activities successfully in a fast-paced environment.
- Performance Management and Cross-Functional Teamwork
You will measure and report return on investment on programs and activities in formats suitable for presentation to key team members and leadership both internally and externally, while working cross-functionally with internal teams and external agencies to ensure adherence to established processes, branding compliance, and product messaging standards. This includes collaborating closely with Product Marketing to ensure the right messaging and content is crafted to support the marketing funnel, and developing scalable processes, programs, and content for regional teams to use in amplifying our go-to-market opportunities.
- Experience & Attitude
We're looking for someone with a get-it-done demeanor, positive energy, team orientation, resourcefulness, and grit, combined with marketing experience working with cloud partners, especially around creating and leading a portfolio of campaigns to generate incremental pipeline (experience with AWS or other cloud providers is a plus). You'll need strong written and verbal communication skills since writing and editing content is a key part of this role, along with presentation skills required to pitch new programs to partners and present results during Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), plus strong project management capabilities to prioritize multiple sophisticated initiatives. A sense of humor is essential—the Partner Marketing Team sets a shockingly high bar for excellence, but we like to have a laugh while we are crushing it—and we value a daring, yet humble approach to getting things done.
- Technical Experience & Background
- 3+ years of B2B marketing experience with demonstrated success in partner marketing or channel marketing
- Experience working with major cloud providers (Google Cloud, AWS, Microsoft, etc.) in a marketing capacity
- Proven track record of leading marketing campaigns and delivering measurable return on investment
- Experience with Independent Software Vendor (ISV) business models and cloud marketplace strategies
- Technical Skills
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, etc.)
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and marketing analytics tools
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and performance measurement
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, SaaS business models, and partner ecosystems
- Proficient in Tableau, Excel and Google Sheets skills for budget management and reporting
- Core Competencies
- Outstanding project management skills with ability to lead multiple sophisticated programs simultaneously
- Proven experience running a sophisticated budget with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external team members
- Experience negotiating contracts and leading vendor relationships
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, matrix organization environments
