About the Role  

We are looking for a Senior FP&A Manager to join our growing team, with a primary focus on the Vega brand. You will report to the CFO and leverage your financial acumen and data-driven mindset to support strategic decisions, drive brand growth, and ensure financial objectives are met. 

This is a high-impact role leading planning, reporting, forecasting, and analysis efforts, serve as a business partner across commercial and marketing teams, and provide insights that directly shape strategic initiatives.  

What You’ll Do 

Financial Planning & Analysis 

  • Develop and maintain financial models, synthesizing large datasets across platforms into clear, actionable insights using Adaptive planning. 
  • Drive annual planning, strategic target setting, budgeting, and forecasting processes. 
  • Support monthly close, providing P&L reporting, variance analysis, and recommendations. 
  • Create and refine analytical tools to improve reporting and decision-making. 

Trade Spend & Profitability 

  • Analyze and provide recommendations to optimize trade spend efficiency. 
  • Maintain profitability analysis by product and customer. 
  • Model new investment opportunities and perform deep-dive analysis of existing initiatives. 

Innovation Finance 

  • Build project P&Ls for Stage Gate reviews and innovation pipelines. 
  • Establish gross margin targets; track sensitivities and outcomes. 
  • Support both short- and long-range innovation projects with financial rigor. 

Business Partnering 

  • Collaborate with commercial teams on customer planning and profitability. 
  • Partner with marketing on A&P forecasting, budget reviews, and spend analysis. 
  • Provide ongoing financial guidance, ensuring accuracy, reclassifications, and accruals where needed. 

Budgeting & Forecasting 

  • Own forecasting and budgeting models; provide training and guidance to stakeholders. 
  • Quantify risks and opportunities, highlight variances, and advise on corrective actions. 
  • Deliver timely financial and analytical support for management decisions. 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred). 
  • 7+ years of progressive FP&A experience. 
  • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience. 
  • Strong experience with trade spend, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and financial modeling. 
  • Proven expertise in trade promotion analysis, customer planning, and innovation finance. 
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) — Excel test required. 
  • Hands-on experience with ERP, planning, and visualization tools (NetSuite, Adaptive, Tableau preferred). 
  • Skilled at working with large datasets and developing multi-platform reports. 
  • Proactive, independent, and solutions-oriented with the ability to thrive in ambiguity. 
  • Strong influencing and communication skills — able to partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams. 
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.

The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000-$140,000/year. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to: location, education, skills, training, and experience. This position may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
