Exact Sciences Corporation seeks Sr Engineer I, Data in Madison, WI.
 

o Job Duties: Design, develop, and test software applications for Exact Sciences, creating expert design concepts and foolproof debugging. Collect and analyze data to develop robust IT solutions that deliver advanced data analytics capabilities to the organization. Develop database architectures to address business requirements, ensuring system scalability, security, performance, and reliability. Design and document database applications such as interfaces, data transfer mechanisms, and data partitions to enable efficient access of the generic database structure. Troubleshoot issues and problems of medium complexity for major software applications. Initiate independent designs that impact and influence the department’s delivery and approach. Lead reviewing design alternatives, problems, and solutions with an eye on limiting the need for later problem solving. Contribute individual capabilities to the achievement of group objectives and work effectively with others in a group setting; this includes mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance for junior members of the team. Build successful internal and external partnerships with peers, SMEs, stakeholders, and decision-makers. Telecommuting Permitted.
 

o Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related quantitative field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience in data engineering or related position.

o Special Skills:

1. Python

2. SQL

3. Spark

4. Databricks

5. AWS

6. Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) data pipelines.

7. Designing and implementing data modeling solutions using relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases.

8. Database architecture testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.

9. Utilizing Big Data file formats (Parquet and Delta Lake).

10. Utilizing agile development tools (JIRA and Confluence repository).

Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Experience can be gained through coursework, scholastic achievement, or work experience.
