Department Overview
The Energy and Accessories Global Product Management Team manages the entirety of the Motorola Solutions radio accessory and energy portfolio across the world.
Team members are responsible for identifying and delivering new products and solutions as well as to monitor and manage existing products and solutions.
Individual product managers work with cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, service, marketing and sales for the definition and on time delivery of the product and solutions. Post launch, product managers monitor their portfolio and identify and implement actions to boost the performance of the portfolio.
Job Description

As a Product Manager for Global Accessories and Energy Systems at Motorola Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our accessory and energy solutions portfolio. You will be responsible for defining the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for a range of products, from batteries and chargers to specialized accessories. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product excellence and customer satisfaction.

Core responsibilities:

Product Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the overall business objectives.

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats.

  • Define product positioning, value proposition, and target market segments.

Product Planning:

  • Create detailed product roadmaps, including feature prioritization and release plans.

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to define product requirements and specifications.

  • Manage product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life.

Product Launch:

  • Oversee product launches, including marketing materials, sales enablement, and go-to-market strategies.

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop effective launch plans.

Product Management:

  • Monitor product performance metrics, including sales, market share, and customer satisfaction.

  • Analyze customer feedback and market trends to identify opportunities for product improvement.

  • Manage product issues and defects, working with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve problems.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with engineering, design, manufacturing, supply chain, sales, marketing, and customer support teams.

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficient execution.

  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency and standardization of product offerings.

Business Development:

  • Work closely with regional sales and end users to understand the market conditions that are driving A&E adoption and business results.

  • Use VOC, data and analytics to craft strategies to help the regional teams drive growth for A&E. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the wireless industry, particularly in accessory and battery technologies.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and certifications (e.g., IP ratings, safety standards).

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and lean product development principles.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).

  • Strong understanding of product development processes, from concept to commercialization.

  • Experience with global product launches and international markets.

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Target Base Salary Range: $98,100  - $196,200  USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.


Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the technology industry.
