We’re looking for an Sr. Employee Relations Specialist to help Pinterest be a place where everyone can learn, grow, and do their best work. You’ll be a shaper and steward of Pinterest’s culture, leveraging insights from your work to identify trends and create proactive solutions to address them. Your focus will be to partner with employees and managers as they navigate their most pivotal moments, guiding us toward thoughtful, equitable outcomes that align with our values.
What you’ll do:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers regarding underperformance and behavioral concerns:
- Coaching
- Advising
- Empowering employees to work through even their most challenging concerns
- Manage the workplace accommodations interactive process
- Partner with a variety of stakeholders (HR Business Partners, Legal, Leadership, etc.) to facilitate prompt, fair, and effective resolution of employee relations concerns
- Craft a positive employee experience by ensuring timely, effective, and respectful resolutions for all participants in every case
- Keep your finger on the pulse of the organization, working with HR Business Partners and leaders to optimize team health and shape a culture that aligns with our values (based on data from casework)
- Analyze employee relations trends and data, and partner with internal stakeholders to improve our processes and develop proactive strategies, programs, and policies
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of HR experience or equivalent, including at least 1 year of Employee Relations or People Partner experience
- Deep understanding of the employee experience, encompassing social and cultural factors that influence it
- Unwavering personal ethics and integrity are essential. You consistently strive to act honorably and are adept at handling sensitive information with discretion
- Confidence in challenging deviations from established processes or personal judgment
- You possess exceptional judgment, knowing when to act autonomously and when to seek guidance on an issue
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to connect with individuals at all levels
- Proven ability to develop and improve processes
- General knowledge of employment laws and best practices
- Incredible attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a high growth, fast paced environment

- We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
- This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 2-4 times per year and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.
