About the Role:

We are seeking a Sr. Director, Partnerships to lead one of Yahoo’s most strategic and complex long-term partnerships, with a core focus on native and performance advertising. This highly cross-functional and externally-facing role sits at the heart of Yahoo’s consumer monetization strategy, driving scalable revenue growth through innovative deal structures, deep technical collaboration, and long-term strategic planning.

You’ll work closely with FP&A, Legal, Product, and Engineering teams to manage and evolve a major partnership, ensuring both contract and monetization strategies are optimized for mutual success. You must bring deep expertise in digital advertising working for large premium publishers within the monetization or growth department and have expertise working with SSPs, DSPs and advertisers to unlock incremental value and sustainable growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the strategic lead on a long-term, high-impact partnership with complex contractual, product, and revenue elements

  • Lead project planning and business forecasting in partnership with FP&A and other cross-functional teams

  • Drive monetization growth by identifying and scaling opportunities in programmatic advertising, including display and native ad formats

  • Oversee contract management—including negotiation of amendments and expansion opportunities in collaboration with Legal and Privacy,

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to develop and implement high-impact monetization initiatives, including mediation and advanced optimization

  • Own executive-level business reviews, QBRs, and stakeholder communications to ensure alignment and accountability

  • Maintain deep knowledge of market trends across programmatic, native, and performance advertising to inform strategy and product priorities

  • Act as a strategic advisor to internal stakeholders on advertising and monetization innovations that can be applied across the partnership.
     

What You’ll Bring:

  • 10+ years of qualified experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or ad monetization roles, ideally within digital media or ad tech

  • Proven track record working in AdTech  (SSPs, DSPs, Publisher, Identity vendor etc.)

  • Deep understanding of ad revenue drivers, technical enablers, and publisher monetization strategies

  • Experience negotiating and managing high-value, multi-year partnerships with complex operational components

  • Strong financial acumen; able to model and communicate revenue scenarios and collaborate with FP&A

  • Executive presence with outstanding communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree a plus

The compensation for this position ranges from $159,140.00 - $346,075.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
