We are seeking a results-driven Senior Director Product Engagement Platform and Martech to lead the creation of Alkami’s unified, AI-first digital engagement platform. This leader will be a P&L business leader for the engagement experience across all digital channels (web, mobile, in-app, etc.), owning the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of a modular platform that replaces fragmented delivery capabilities of digital banking and the limitations of the martech stacks for our financial institution clients.They will drive the development of advanced orchestration tools, modernize our content management system (CMS), integrate ad-serving capabilities, and enable self-service personalization to transform how banks and credit unions engage their users. This role is critical to realizing Alkami’s “Anticipatory Banking” vision by turning digital banking channels into revenue-generating opportunities.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in digital product management and marketing technology platforms, experience leveraging AI for customer engagement, and a passion for creating innovative solutions that drive growth for financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Drive platform strategy for a category-leading digital engagement platform, working closely with senior Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing stakeholders to define the vision and product roadmap.
Own end-to-end success as the general manager for the engagement platform, overseeing everything from concept and development through launch and customer adoption, and ultimately accountable for revenue (P&L) outcomes.
Ensure a unified experience across all digital channels (web, mobile, in-app, email), providing a seamless and personalized journey for end-users through the platform.
Build, lead and develop the team Build a team ~20 product managers and forge a deep partnership with engineering, UX design, etc., provide clear direction, and cultivate an innovative, high-performance team culture.
Build a modular, AI-driven platform that consolidates engagement capabilities including journey orchestration tools, content management system (CMS) enhancements, ad-serving technologies, and self-service personalization features into one cohesive solution.
Collaborate with engineering to ensure the platform’s architecture is scalable, secure, and well-integrated with Alkami’s core digital banking systems.
Partner with go-to-market teams (Product Marketing, Sales, Client Success) to position the engagement platform, gather client feedback, and drive adoption among Alkami’s financial institution clients.
Integrate analytics and AI into the platform by working with the Data Science team and the Data and Insights team, automating customer outreach and delivering intelligent, personalized content and offers.
Monitor engagement metrics (user engagement, campaign performance, conversion rates, etc.) and revenue generated through the platform, using data insights to refine features and strategy for continuous improvement.
Ensure timely delivery of the platform roadmap by coordinating across multiple teams and keeping development on schedule and within scope.
Present roadmap updates, key achievements, and upcoming plans to senior leadership, and incorporate their feedback into strategic planning for the platform.Identify and mitigate risks or bottlenecks that could impede the platform’s development or client adoption, proactively resolving issues to keep execution on track.
Stay abreast of trends in digital marketing, MarTech, and consumer engagement, incorporating industry best practices and innovative ideas to keep Alkami’s engagement platform on the cutting edge.
Align with strategic vision by ensuring the engagement platform’s development supports Alkami’s “Anticipatory Banking” objectives and helps transform digital channels into revenue drivers.
Establish performance goals for direct reports and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to support their professional development and high performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in digital product management, marketing technology, or customer engagement platforms, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
Proven experience leading the development of customer engagement or marketing platforms and delivering successful, high-impact products.
Strong understanding of omnichannel digital experiences (web, mobile, email, etc.) and demonstrated ability to create seamless, personalized customer journeys.
Familiarity with modern marketing technology stacks, including content management systems, marketing automation tools, personalization engines, and ad-tech integrations.
Experience leveraging AI and data analytics to drive customer engagement and personalization.
Knowledge of the financial services or fintech industry (and related regulatory considerations) is a plus.
Proven ability to manage product development lifecycles in an Agile environment and collaborate closely with engineering teams on complex, scalable systems.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving, able to balance big-picture vision with attention to execution details.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate a product vision and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and a focus on business outcomes (growth, revenue, engagement).
Proficient in product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc..
Proficient in collaboration tools such as Slack and GSuite.
