As a key member of the Transport leadership team, you will lead the Marketing function supporting the entire breadth of the product portfolio in the region. You will have ownership for short and long term planning and execution, enhancing business growth objectives through marketing initiatives, ensuring value selling, driving key leading indicators with the sales team, actively engaged in sales negotiation, engaging with engineering consultants, relationship with EPC for an early engagement of opportunity pipeline, expanding Xylem Corporate and Product brand awareness while accelerating order intake, through unique and customized communication.
What will you do?
· Drive and oversee the planning, the investments and the execution of comprehensive marketing programs
· Lead and drive key leading indicators for funnel build up, qualified leads, and ensure the team on strategic marketing, build robust funnel, win rate and win-loss analysis monthly to course correct
· Be a strong proponent of Value selling
· Support the division’s growth targets, in a complex and evolving market to be ahead of competition
· Prioritize and connect TRANSPORT solutions offerings to customer needs by understanding regional needs and tradeoffs, and adjusting scalable launch programs that serve an array of customer segments, in alignment to a given market maturity level.
· Monitor commercialization and engagement results, driving corrective actions as needed
· Drive and oversee external communication targeted to key stakeholders (e.g. customers, prospects, trade associations, institutional and academic entities, governmental authorities, media)
· Lead and build a strong team of marketing professionals, driving collaboration with Product management, Commercial, R&D, Field applications and other functions to ensure achievement of growth and targets.
· Drive cross-functional and cross-business relationships to achieve business results. Build and facilitate internal communication plan to align all functions across the Division key initiatives for growth.
· Monitor Market dynamics and competitive trends
· Ensure the right Digital marketing Infrastructure is in place to facilitate and automatize as needed. Identify gaps and experiment new efficient ways/tools/platforms
· Positioning the company as a thought leader in the water industry, she/he works with the enterprise, the regional and the local country teams to develop and create multi-channel content to enhance customers and stakeholders engagement, while ensuring brand architecture consistency across all communication.
· Actively offer and participate in sales negotiations, customer meetings to continuously bring insights
· Continue to build and ensure roll out strategic/breakthrough marketing campaigns
Scope
· Map Market/Customer needs to current portfolio
· Benchmark competition on portfolio (Inc. Pricing) and G2M
· Support PMs in developing fighting guides and value prop tooling
· Translate market trends and customer needs into prioritized focus areas (Playing fields) for product
development and innovation
· Drive innovation strategy and support innovation process together with R&D with an outside in view
· Support building business plan for product development using Market data/VOC and customer feedback
· Gather feedback from customers and ensure corrective actions are taken (either in product maintenance or development)
· Develop and Maintain Risk/Opportunity matrix for product (in particular product dev) example: critical sourcing

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
· 10-15 years’ experience in senior marketing roles, solid with the entire marketing mix and preferably with a background in the water industry
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering/marketing/economics/business. CI approach is a plus
· Solid experience with Product Launches. Background in Project Management preferred.
· Experience in managing large teams in both solid and dotted line
· Ability to motivate and coach a team of diverse backgrounds and skillsets.
· Eager to operate in an ever-changing, dynamic, highly competitive and fast-paced environment
· Proven sales experience is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
· Specialization on environmental, civil or engineering is a plus
· Online and Social Media marketing certification is plus
