The Sr. Director of Implementation leads a team of talented project management professionals to achieve desired customer and company objectives. This is a critical role at Alkami and is responsible for the success of all digital banking launches on the Alkamai platform. The position sits within the CXG Services organization and reports to the VP of Global Services. This role involves managing client relationships, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving efficient and effective implementation processes. The Senior Director of Implementations is responsible for providing leadership, setting strategic direction, driving revenue activation, and enabling implementation teams to deliver the Alkami Product on time with high customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for successfully launching new clients on Alkami’s digital banking platform.

  • Oversee the execution of a cohesive and comprehensive implementation program plan, revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

  • Drive ARR realization and retention through disciplined execution of customer implementations, ensuring predictable, on-time go-lives.

  • Establish reporting and dashboards that connect implementation performance to ARR activation, including launch timeliness, backlog risk, and revenue readiness.

  • Overall strategy, planning, directing and oversight responsibility of many strategic projects, typically requiring the utilization or management of resources across multiple departments or functional areas.

  • Collaborate with functional leaders to drive focus on business objectives. Be a trusted partner for executive management to ensure program success; 

  • Establish and maintain a strong partnership with PMO, ensuring all sales commitments are captured, prioritized, and included in project plans, the right resources are deployed on each implementation, deferred labor is maximized, and revenue goals are achieved. 

  • Drives cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of implementation deliverables and resolution of open issues and action items.

  • Works closely with Product, Technology, and Sales to finalize the details of the contracted solution and ensure successful outcomes, including financial, operational and customer satisfaction.

  • Drive change and evolve the project implementation model on how we meet the needs of our clients by improving client satisfaction and providing efficient and effective implementation.

  • Provide leadership and continuous coaching and training to implementation teams.

  • Accountable for managing internal and external escalations, communications, metrics reporting, and SLAs.

  • Utilize data-driven analytics and simple yet effective visuals PMO provides to drive real-time insights to inform client implementations.

  • Proactively seek out opportunities for organizational improvement.

  • Drive organization towards metrics and revenue goals, with the objective to exceed business expectations by leveraging PMO artifacts and ensuring processes, procedures, standards, and policies as required by the contract, including billing and security requirements, are followed.

Recommended Experience & Education

Minimum Years of Experience

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a related field, leading implementation teams in the FinTech or SaaS industry, in conjunction with five years of progressive leadership

 

Education Level

Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience


Knowledge, Skills, & Qualifications

Required

  • Experience in the FinTech or SaaS industry, leading client delivery teams related to digital banking. 

  • Experience in commercial banking (Treasury, Cash management).

  • Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, team-oriented sales goals-driven environment that rewards hard work and self-motivation

  • Exceptional presentation skills; constructing and presenting information to a wide array of audiences, including external and internal stakeholders

  • Must have a “Winning” attitude

  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new concepts and solutions

  • Ability to influence others and build rapport and company value without formal authority 

  • Highly organized with detailed, focused time management, negotiation, and consultation sales skills

  • Ability to execute quickly and with high-quality

Preferred

  • Masters Degree in related field

  • Experience with Jira and Smart Sheets or other portfolio management systems

  • A general knowledge of agile Product management and software development processes.

The salary range for this position is: $170,000 - $200,000Cool Things to Know
