The purpose of this role is to build and maintain a presence for PointClickCare with regulators, policy makers, political officials, and industry associations at the federal, provincial, and state levels. The Sr. Director will develop and execute policy-shaping and stakeholder engagement strategies based on PointClickCare’s business priorities, specifically focused on providers, payers and conveners who are focused on data, interoperability and health information exchange to help drive commercial success. To execute on the business strategies, the Sr. Director will participate in and lead cross-functional internal teams. The Sr. Director will also be an active leader and participant in external stakeholder activities in order to shape policy and guidance advancing our clients' interests and identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

    Develop and execute policy-shaping & advocacy strategies (not limited to legislation and regulation) based on PointClickCare business priorities across all business segments. Specific focus will be on providers, payers, and entities who participate in health information exchange.


    Oversee and participate in external stakeholder management to support policy-shaping & advocacy strategies. This includes federal organizations and regulatory bodies including Sequoia Project, Civitas, ONC and CMS.


    Maintain a presence, build key relationships, and participate in regulatory processes, industry events and customer events in order to ensure that the PointClickCare product strategy fully recognizes regulatory and industry updates and trends.


    Leverage awareness of our solutions to identify commercial opportunities through RFI/RFP processes as well as demonstrate business development acumen to monetize our solutions through key insights.


    Build internal relationships across business units and participate in cross functional workgroups in or order to partner, collaborate and develop business opportunities.


Qualifications and Skills

    Minimum

    Preferred

    Excellent communications and presentation skills


    Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills



    7+ years of experience in the healthcare technology industry



    Proven success and experience working with senior executives across stakeholder types


    College/University Degree


    Masters or legal degree Preferred
