Alkami provides Digital Banking services to a broad range of Financial institutions. Our partner program facilitates mutually beneficial relationships that help our customers gain better access to the services they need. We offer a variety of partner levels to optimize our support of third party vendors and products.The Senior Director, Business Development is the strategic leader responsible for the identification and growth of Alkami’s partner and reseller programs. Responsibilities include identifying new Partnership opportunities and avenues to sell Alkami’s platform products while ensuring accretive commercials and the overall success and health of the growth of the program. This executive will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market presence. This role reports to the VP of Corporate Development and will lead a multi million dollar business for Alkami. This role will look to grow Alkami’s balance sheet while creating new ways to sell our suite of products.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the business line's objectives, aligning with the overall company strategy.
Build and prioritize relationships with the largest providers in the space.
Analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
Strong understanding of the Financial services provider landscape to be able to make appropriate decisions on product market fit
Manage the business line's budget, revenue, and profitability, and report on performance
Achieve business objectives by driving accretive growth of Alkami's Partnership ecosystem
Work with partners to identify opportunities to increase sales and penetration numbers
Interface with the Alkami product team to ensure partner products have the proper support from the engineering and product teams
Work closely with the Alkami compliance, sales, support and legal teams to drive accretive outcomes
Strong negotiation skills to drive agreement on contract terms that are aligned to Alkami’s goals
Ability to interface with clients and clearly communicate opportunities, plans and outcomes
Manage strategy for Alkami’s platform Partnerships ensuring proper placement in Alkami’s partner community

Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate has previous experience as a Senior Leader building and managing and Partner relationships with SAAS companies focused on the financial services space.
12+ years of relevant experience
Team player experienced in working with different company verticals
Experience and comfort level working with C- level executives at companies ranging from startup to the Fortune 500
Excellent communication skills with a strong business acumen and negotiation abilities
Solid understanding of financial accounting / P&L with the ability to build out financial models and present to executive leadership
Up to 20% travel
