How Will You Make an Impact?

As the Sr. DFA Deployment Engineer, you will report directly to the Global DFx GPO and lead the deployment of DFA (Design for Assembly) strategies, processes, training, and certification on a global scale. You will be responsible for driving execution excellence across regions, supporting customer engagements, and mentoring engineering teams to ensure world-class DFA integration that enhances manufacturability, reduces cost, and accelerates time to market.

What Will You Do?

  • Execute the global DFA deployment strategy in alignment with Jabil's DFx initiatives.

  • Manage and deliver global DFA training and certification programs, building a strong pipeline of DFA-capable engineers.

  • Provide technical leadership for all DFA-related activities including execution, analysis, and process governance.

  • Partner with site teams to understand customer requirements and provide frontline technical support for DFA findings and recommendations.

  • Represent Jabil in technical customer discussions, supporting business development and engineering collaboration.

  • Establish and implement DFA audit processes to ensure consistent analysis standards across all regions.

  • Mentor and coach global DFA staff, while also supporting skill development of engineers across Jabil.

  • Identify and mitigate risks within the design phase that may affect manufacturability, cost, or schedule.

  • Stay current with DFA tools, trends, and best practices, ensuring ongoing competitiveness and innovation.

  • Act as the bridge between Design and DFM teams, facilitating clear communication and design intent.

  • Participate in and contribute to industry trade groups and standard organizations as a representative of Jabil’s technical leadership.

How Will You Get Here?

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Scientific discipline required.

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Design, Product Development, or DFA Engineering/Management.

  • Demonstrated experience with MCAD tools such as PTC Creo, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.

  • Prior experience leading global technical teams and DFA execution preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Deep knowledge of Design for Assembly (DFA) concepts and application to mechanical assemblies.

  • Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC-A-610 and similar design/manufacturing guidelines.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface across functions and cultures.

  • Expertise in cross-functional design issues including thermal, electrical, mechanical, and material considerations.

  • Ability to coach, influence, and lead teams in a matrixed, global environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active membership or engagement with engineering trade groups or standards organizations.

  • Broad understanding of manufacturing technologies and joint characteristics.

  • Experience implementing and auditing DFA best practices across multiple geographies.

The pay range for this role is $79,400 - $143,000. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity. The anticipated close date of this job requisition is: December 31, 2025.

As part of the total rewards package, this position is eligible for a short-term incentive based on performance. In addition, Jabil offers benefits to enhance your health, wealth, and resilient self. These include medical, dental, and vision insurance plans; paid time off accruing at a rate of 3.07 hours during your first year of employment; 4 weeks of paid parental leave; in 2025, 11 company-paid holidays (9 fixed holidays and 2 optional floating holidays), subject to change yearly; 401(k) retirement plan; and employee stock purchase plan.
