Overview
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will design and manage our cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS with some GCP integration, focusing on cloud-native architectures and multi-region configurations. You will leverage AWS CDK, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure scalability, resiliency, performance, and cost-effectiveness for our serverless platform, while implementing robust monitoring and log management solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain cloud-native infrastructure on AWS (Lambda, AppSync, DynamoDB, RDS, S3) and GCP (GKE, Cloud Run) using AWS CDK and Terraform, emphasizing multi-region setups for scalability, resiliency, and performance.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and AWS CodePipeline for efficient, reliable deployments.Build serverless and containerized solutions to support scalable, cost-effective systems.
- Optimize multi-region configurations to balance high availability, fault tolerance, and cost efficiency while meeting compliance (e.g., SOC 2, PCI DSS).
- Implement and manage monitoring and log management solutions using tools like Logz.io, Datadog, Cloudwatch Logs, ensure observability and rapid issue resolution.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate DevOps practices, including automated testing, monitoring, and observability.
- Collaborate with engineering and security teams to ensure robust infrastructure security and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues across production and non-production environments.
- Drive cloud cost optimization strategies and adopt best practices for performance, resiliency, and log management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years in DevOps or SRE roles, ideally in SaaS or fintech.
- Expertise in AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, S3) and working knowledge of GCP (GKE).
- Proficiency with AWS CDK (TypeScript/Python) and Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline).
- Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and multi-region configurations for scalability, resiliency, performance, and cost optimization.
- Hands-on experience with serverless architectures and container orchestration (GKE).
- Proficiency in monitoring and log management tools, including Logz.io, Datadog, Cloudwatch Logs.
- Knowledge of cloud security, networking, and compliance standards.
- Scripting skills (Python, Bash, Powershell) for automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- SaaS experience with regulatory knowledge (SOC2, PCI DSS).
- Expertise in SRE principles and experience managing highly available systems.
- AWS or GCP certifications (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect)
- Active GitHub profile or open-source contributions.
