Senior mainframe developer to design, code, and test core banking Systematics modules. Lead data sourcing, migration strategy, product mapping, gap analysis, and client impact assessments. Produce high-level and detailed technical designs, perform peer code reviews, support end-to-end testing, and mentor junior team members using agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in Mainframe z/OS CICS, COBOL, VSAM, JCL, MQ, XML/MLI, Change-man and various tools on the mainframe. Assembler Knowledge is a plus
- Expertise in Systematics suite of core banking software (viz. IMPACS, Savings-Time, Relationship Management, Architecture systems etc.) is preferred
- 10+ Years of related experience
- Ability to understand data, lead core account transformation efforts by participating in data sourcing, data analysis and design of the migration strategy, including product mapping, gap analysis, client impact assessments and technical sequencing designs
- Understanding the Design Requirements and Preparation of High-Level Documents for projects and major enhancements
- Preparing Detail design and Technical Documents
- Ability to code and develop individual modules in both Batch and Online environments
- Peer reviews and preparation of code review and unit test plans. Support end-to-end testing which includes functional and unit testing, system integration and regressing testing
- Possesses strong knowledge of application development technologies, tools, agile and waterfall methodologies as well as all functional areas in an IT organization
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences
- Ability to answer technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; ability to teach and mentor less experienced team members
