We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to help redefine how search works in real estate. You’ll play a key role in shaping the intelligence behind our search experience: from the user experience to the ranking and relevance models under the hood. You will leverage data science & analytics techniques to educate how users interact with our platform.   4. What You’ll Do:
  • Dive Deep Into Search – Surface insights about our consumers’ experience, developing foundational views of their preferences, behaviors, and intent through descriptive, statistical, and predictive analytics. 
  • Develop Self-Service Reporting – Design and build the reporting tools and views that enable our cross-functional teams to explore, measure, and report on our performance each day. 
  • Measure and Analyze ML Models  – Partner directly with the ML Engineering team that powers our core search ranking and relevance systems to measure model performance and efficacy. 
  • Collaborate Across Teams – Work closely with product, engineering, marketing, ML and data teams to optimize our search-driven experiences and support rapid development of search & exploration solutions.

We balance creativity and innovation on a foundation of in-person collaboration. For most roles, our employees work three or more days in our offices, where they have the opportunity to collaborate in-person, adding richness to our culture and knitting us closer together. 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Expertise in Data Science & Search –MS/BS in computer science, statistics, mathematics, operations research or related fields, and 2 years of relevant experience in data science, machine learning or applied statistics, with a strong background in product analytics or experimentation.  Experience in ML algorithms, information retrieval, search ranking, or recommendation systems is a plus. 
  • Extensive Technical Skills – Proficiency in SQL, Python, Tableau, and Amplitude (or similar analytics tools). Experience with Spark, TensorFlow/PyTorch is a plus. 
  • Strong Creative Thinking & Problem-Solving Skills – Passion for tackling complex analytical problems, improving user experience, experimentation, and driving measurable impact. 
  • Excellent Communication – Ability to articulate insights from data, statistical or ML concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
