What’s Cool About This Role:
 

We’re seeking a Senior Data Product Manager to join our growing Corporate Data team. In this role, you will define and deliver internal data products that serve teams across WP Engine. You’ll partner with stakeholders and engineers to identify opportunities, shape data capabilities, and enhance our internal data platform. Your responsibilities will include defining and building products that enhance our data platform and empower our internal customers. The ideal candidate will bring a unique blend of business acumen, technical expertise,and a visionary mindset to turn ideas into reality. 
 

This role is ideal for someone with strong product instincts, technical aptitude, and a passion for using data to solve meaningful business problems.

Day to Day:
  • Champion the internal customer experience: Understand what it’s like to find, understand, and use data as an analyst, engineer, or business leader outside the data team. Advocate for intuitive, reliable access to data products that meet real user needs.

  • Drive product discovery and delivery: Define problems, run research and validation, and shape effective solutions that create measurable business impact.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Build strong cross-functional relationships across the organization to uncover data needs, identify opportunities, and drive alignment.

  • Influence data platform capabilities: Partner with data engineering and architecture to evolve platform infrastructure that supports scalable, governed, and high-quality data products.

  • Manage the product backlog: Lead prioritization and trade-off discussions, balancing short-term value with long-term platform and data health.

  • Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria: Translate business requirements into actionable tickets that support seamless collaboration with engineering.

  • Operate in Agile environments: Coordinate closely with engineering and program management to deliver iteratively, improve velocity, and respond to changing needs.
     

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally within data-centric or analytics-heavy environments.

  • Experience working with modern data platforms and infrastructure, including driving requirements for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, warehousing, access, and governance capabilities.

  • Experience working with enterprise systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc., to support data warehousing, integration, and modeling initiatives.

  • Proven success managing the product lifecycle across multiple internal-facing or data-centric products.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate product decisions, technical concepts, and strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Solid knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle, particularly in the context of Agile data product development.

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

  • Demonstrated team player with a hands-on approach to problem solving and delivering outcomes across cross-functional teams.

Base Salary Range

$144,000.00 - $216,000.00

We believe that compensation should be reflective of the impact you have within the organization relative to the market value of your role. The estimated base salary range for this position is as listed above. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Our salary ranges are determined by job role and responsibilities and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for salaries for the position nationwide. The actual base pay will vary based on various factors including job-related skills and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
