Position Description:

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and help us build the next generation of data tools for our retail and commerce loyalty platform. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tackling complex challenges related to extracting insights from transactional data. In this role, you will work closely with our Application Development teams, Customer Support, Business SMEs, and stakeholders to design and implement data pipelines that transform our data into valuable insights. As we strive to scale and deploy new technologies that enhance the user experience and provide deeper insights, your expertise will be critical to our success.

What We’re Looking For:

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles

  • Project Management: Experience leading projects and collaborating across teams

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement

  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with industry technology trends

  • Agentic Engineering: Hands-on experience building with LLMs and coding agents to amplify day-to-day output, including the harnesses and internal tooling that let you and the rest of the team move faster.

Additional skills:

  • Programming: Python, SQL, Terraform

  • Data Modeling: Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and practices

  • Big Data Technologies: Spark, Databricks, Structured Streaming

  • Databases: Relational (Postgres) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases

  • CI/CD : CircleCI, DroneCI, Github Actions, Spacelift

  • Monitoring & Observability: DataDog

  • Cloud Platforms: AWS or Azure and their data solutions

  • Data Governance: Understanding data privacy, security, and governance practices

  • AI/ML Integration: Ability to integrate AI/ML models into data pipelines

  • LLM Tools: Experience with Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, MCP, Agent Orchestrators

  • Version Control: Git, Github
