Position Overview:

The Sr. Corporate Processing Team Lead is responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of their dedicated Corporate Loan Processing Team, answering questions, assisting with daily needs, overseeing and delegating loans to the team, communicating loan statuses to branches, and keeping abreast of loan processing issues. This position provides exceptional customer service to CrossCountry Mortgage branches.

This position primarily operates within Eastern Time zone working hours to support the East and Central Coast regions. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the Corporate Loan Processing Team including pipeline management of the team, employee development, coaching, training, quality control checks and performance management.

  • Respond to Corporate Loan Processing Team loan level and system questions with accuracy, in a timely manner.

  • Assist the Corporate Loan Processing Team with Underwriting and Closing escalations.

  • Effectively collaborate and manage business relationships with dedicated Branch Managers and Operations staff.

  • Schedule, maintain, and conduct weekly pipeline calls with dedicated branches.

  • Schedule and maintain weekly one on one calls with Corporate Loan Processing Team members.

  • Schedule and maintain weekly team and department calls.

  • Work with other Team Leads and Regional Corporate Processing Manager.

  • Oversee and ensure accurate timekeeping for the team, including reviewing and approving timecards, handling timecard discrepancies, and monitoring attendance and overtime.

  • Assign and delegate loan files to the Corporate Loan Processing Team.

  • Oversee the team’s file quality and ensure turn times of loan files are within company SLA requirements.

  • Respond to e-mails, and/or phone calls within company SLA requirements.

  • Perform a thorough review and analysis of borrower’s credit, income and assets as required by loan program before submitting the file to Underwriting.

  • Perform quality control checks on the team’s files to identify any training needs.

  • Assist the team by completing required loan submission, resubmission and closing checklists.

  • Monitor the team pipeline to ensure compliance as it pertains to RESPA, TIL, HMDA, Reg. B, and all mortgage related regulations; prepare proper disclosures and redisclosures as required by regulations.

  • Document all communication related to the loan application in the LOS system’s notes.

  • Assist Closing, Secondary, and Servicing to obtain documentation needed to clear outstanding suspense items for loans worked on and/or loans worked on from other transition team members.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ residential mortgage processing experience required.

  • Prior Team Lead/Management experience required.

  • Knowledge of RESPA guidelines and all mortgage and consumer lending regulations.

  • Experience with Encompass.

  • Excellent analytical, prioritization and communication skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay Range: 

  • Hourly Rate: 24.00-28.00 

  • Bonus Eligible if applicable
