Essential Functions:

  • Draft high-quality, complex contracts, change orders and associated deliverables.
  • Develop accurate complex budgets for contracts and change orders.
  • Perform budget analysis.
  • Understand contract terms and identify adjustments to financial terms as needed.
  • Accountable for adherence to the contracts and change order processes and deliverables, working in collaboration with global operational teams as needed.
  • Participate in departmental initiatives, as needed.
  • Assist in training and support of lesser experienced team members.
  • Perform senior level peer reviews and/or QC review providing guidance and training as necessary.
  • Participate in client meetings, as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Necessary Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Creative thinking and problem solving.
  • Ability to work efficiently with high attention to detail while meeting multiple concurrent deadlines.
  • Clinical research and / or consulting knowledge.
  • Proficient in budget and contract preparation.
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications, including intermediate-to-advanced level proficiency with complex formulas and data analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills including ability to quickly shift priorities.
  • Ability to work closely with and communicate effectively to all levels across the organization.
  • Exhibits self-motivation and can work and plan independently as well as in a team environment.

Educational Requirements:

  • 4-year college degree, or equivalent experience ideally in a business, scientific or healthcare discipline.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience, preferably in the life sciences.
  • Proposal, Contract, or Change Order development experience required.
  • Experience creating and submitting budgets.
  • Knowledge of industry standards relating to change orders and contracts including budgeting, document language, processes for creation and finalization, etc.
