Sr. Client Director (Salesforce)
Location: Remote, United States; Preferred Markets: SF/Bay Area, CHI, ATL, New York/Tri-State Area
Summary:
Thunder is a next-generation Salesforce consulting partner obsessed with loving our customers and helping them get Salesforce right; now, and forever. We are a high-growth, culture-first organization composed of industry veterans who believe in doing things the right way. We help organizations modernize their revenue operations, streamline processes, and unlock the full potential of the Salesforce platform.
We are seeking a seasoned Sr. Client Director to drive net-new business and expand our footprint within the Enterprise and Commercial markets. In this role, you will not just be a "hunter" in the traditional sense; you will be a strategic partner to the Salesforce ecosystem. Your primary lever for success will be building deep, high-trust relationships with Salesforce Account Executives (AEs) and Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs), positioning Thunder as the go-to partner for their most complex customer challenges.
Responsibilities:
1. Ecosystem Relationship Management (The Channel)
- Build the Alliance: Proactively map out and engage Salesforce AEs, RVPs, and Area VPs within your territory. Establish Thunder as a trusted advisor who helps them sell license revenue by guaranteeing implementation success.
- Co-Selling: Execute joint account planning sessions with Salesforce counterparts to identify white space and align on account strategies.
- Education: Regularly educate the Salesforce ecosystem on Thunder’s specific differentiators, success stories, and "sweet spots."
2. Revenue Generation & Deal Execution
- Full Cycle Sales: Manage the entire sales lifecycle from qualification to proposal defense and contract negotiation, consistently delivering on an annual services bookings quota.
- Solution Selling: Lead discovery sessions to understand client business objectives, then collaborate with our Solution Architects and Delivery Leads to scope custom transformative solutions.
3. Vertical Expertise
- Leverage specific industry knowledge to speak the language of the C-Suite in our core target verticals:
- CBS (Consumer Business Services)
- TMT (Technology, Media, & Telecom)
- MFG (Manufacturing)
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in Enterprise Sales, with a minimum of 4 years specifically selling Salesforce Professional Services / Consulting.
- Documented history of exceeding quotas in the $4M+ range.
- Existing relationships with Salesforce AEs and RVPs in the Enterprise or Commercial units is highly preferred. You should know how to navigate the "Purple" ecosystem.
- Deep understanding of the operational challenges and tech stack requirements within TMT, Manufacturing, or Consumer Business Services.
- Exceptional presentation skills, ability to negotiate complex SOWs, and the ability to quarterback a deal involving multiple stakeholders (Client execs, Salesforce reps, Thunder delivery teams).
- Thrives in a high-growth, fast-paced environment where autonomy is high, and micromanagement is low.
- Understanding that selling services is a team sport; working seamlessly with Pre-Sales Solution Engineers and Delivery leads.
- Ethical Seller: You believe in selling what we can deliver and delivering what we sell.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and opportunities with structure and discipline
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
