Are you ready to bring your marketing experience and ideas to life? While you may not be familiar with our name, you most likely have seen our products at some of the largest retailers, in-stores and online. We pride ourselves on being an action-oriented US based company with a core focus on growing our people and business powered by inclusivity and kindness. As a privately owned injected molded plastics company that designs and manufactures innovative home organization products such as storage totes and shelves while utilizing green processes and superior engineering. American Plastics is a growing company, having tripled the company size in the last two years and expanded our production footprint across the county. Due to this growth, we are in search of a channel marketing leader who is ready to create a differentiated marketing experience for our retail and online customers. This position will be located in our Innovation Center, Mooresville, NC working a hybrid work schedule.  (Mon/Fri remote; Tues-Thurs in office).

  

Our growing marketing department is looking to add a key player to round out our new team. The Senior Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for executing the marketing strategies laid out by the Director of Marketing while developing channel specific campaigns for key retailers such as Walmart, Sam’s Club, and Amazon for American Plastics.

   

· Lead commercialization and go-to-market strategy for new product launches, including positioning, packaging, content, retail media, merchandising, and customer activation.

· Identify consumer, category, and competitive trends to uncover whitespace and growth opportunities. Translate insights into compelling recommendations and customer sell-in stories.

· Develop innovative omnichannel marketing strategies that drive awareness, visibility, and conversion through retail media, social, influencers, in-store merchandising, and digital content.

· Own digital shelf and content excellence across assigned retailers, ensuring product detail pages are accurate, compelling, optimized, and aligned with retailer requirements.

· Champion the Voice of the Customer by understanding retailer priorities and translating customer needs and opportunities into actionable internal strategies.

· Serve as the customer-facing marketing expert during customer meetings, line reviews/PLRs, innovation presentations, trade shows, and other key business interactions.

· Develop compelling customer presentations and sales enablement tools that connect consumer insights, category opportunities, and product innovation to drive customer growth.

· Lead retail media strategy and execution with agency partners, including planning, creative development, budgeting, optimization, measurement, and reporting.

· Develop and optimize product content and copy using SEO, search insights, consumer research, and retailer-specific requirements to improve discoverability and conversion.

· Develop channel-specific marketing calendars and activation plans aligned with product launches, promotions, media, merchandising, and customer priorities.

· Track marketing performance and KPIs, translating results into recommendations that improve future programs and investment.

· Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Development, Engineering, Creative, and Marketing to successfully commercialize new products and execute customer initiatives.

· Manage budgets, agency resources, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution of marketing initiatives.

· Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required. 

Requirements

  · Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA a plus.

· 7–10+ years of progressive marketing experience, preferably in channel/customer marketing within a fast-paced consumer goods environment. Private/white label experience a plus.

· 5+ years of omnichannel experience across retail media, digital marketing, content, shopper marketing, merchandising, product, and/or brand management.

· Demonstrated success partnering with sales teams, retail merchants, and cross-functional teams to drive growth and successfully commercialize new products and initiatives.

· Strong strategic thinking, storytelling, and communication skills with the ability to influence and gain buy-in across internal and external stakeholders.

· Highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.

· Proven ability to identify consumer, category, and competitive trends, uncover growth opportunities, and translate insights into compelling customer recommendations.

· Experience with Walmart and/or Sam’s Club and retailer platforms such as Retail Link, Item 360, Walmart Connect, and Scene7 is a plus.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong PowerPoint and presentation skills.
