About the team and role:Global Consumer Insights (GCI) is part of eBay’s Growth Organization. Our role is to ignite growth by bringing the voice of the consumer to the forefront of eBay’s thinking and decision making.
We’re looking for a Senior Business Operations Manager to help shape the operational rhythm and strategic direction of GCI. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Programs, Operations & Communications, this role is a key integrator — partnering with the VP and leadership team to drive alignment, clarity, and momentum across top priorities.
This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role that blends strategic planning, operational execution, and internal communications. You’ll lead cross-functional initiatives, optimize team workflows, champion the adoption of AI-powered tools, and help launch programs that deepen customer connection and organizational impact.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in operations, planning, and communications — thrives in complexity, moves quickly from insight to action, and is energized by putting the customer at the center of everything we do!
What you will accomplish:
Business OperationsDrive operational excellence by designing and leading the strategy and cadence of biweekly operations reviews — fostering transparency, removing roadblocks, and accelerating GCI’s impact on eBay’s most critical priorities.
Lead the development and ongoing management of the GCI Scorecard, enabling leadership to track business impact, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness through clear, data-driven KPIs.
Curate and execute high-impact leadership offsites that align cross-functional priorities, strengthen team cohesion, and create space for strategic thinking, reflection, and innovation.
Champion project visibility and accountability by leading the adoption and optimization of Monday.com, empowering GCIers to manage progress, priorities, and capacity with clarity.
Guide the seamless integration of Google Workspace tools to enhance collaboration, streamline workflows, and retire legacy systems, improving efficiency and knowledge sharing across GCI.
Partner with the team lead to implement a smart, scalable vendor management strategy that optimizes efficiency, ensures compliance, and delivers strategic value.
Lead the development of engaging, purpose-driven content for GCI All Hands meetings that celebrate wins, clarify strategy, and foster a strong sense of connection and alignment across the organization.
Coordinate GCI’s Freshly Brewed biweekly insights' series — delivering timely, relevant consumer insights to cross-functional teams to drive smarter decisions and deeper collaboration.
Coordinate the strategy and execution of GCI’s internal communications, including the Spotlight newsletter, Slack updates, consumer-related AI tool communications, and other innovative formats that keep the team informed, inspired, and aligned.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field
Proven operational or strategic planning experience preferably within the software industry
Training and/or experience in agile methodologies, organizational strategy, and operations management
Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans quickly
Executive presence with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and drive alignment across diverse teams
Comfortable navigating complex decision-making environments with multiple stakeholders
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$101,200 - $174,100Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
