  • Assist in scoping and defining analysis projects into well-defined milestones.

  • Learn and contribute to data models within our dbt (data build tool) environment under the guidance of senior team members.

  • Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and escalate data quality or dashboard performance issues.

  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar field

  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and charting.

  • Strong foundational knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation.

  • Experience with a data visualization tool, preferably Tableau (building dashboards, calculated fields).

  • Familiarity with or a strong desire to learn DBT and data modeling concepts.

  • Ability to analyze information and effectively present concepts in written, spreadsheet, and presentation formats.

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Ability to support the analytics team and internal customers on tight deadlines.

Onboarding Plan & Milestones

First 30 Days: Foundation & Immersion

  • Learn the company's data strategy, key data sources, and business KPIs.

  • Get trained on the BI toolkit: data warehouse, Tableau Server, and DBT environment.

  • Meet key stakeholders in your assigned business units to understand their functions.

  • Shadow the data request and dashboard development process.

Days 31-60: Integration & Contribution

  • Begin to support small-to-medium-sized Tableau dashboard enhancement requests.

  • Contribute to a DBT model under supervision.

  • Take ownership of a recurring report, ensuring its accuracy and timeliness using Excel or Tableau.

Days 61-90: Ownership & Optimization

  • Begin to manage a simple dashboard build from requirements gathering to delivery.

  • Present your findings from an analysis to a stakeholder with support from your manager.

6-Month Goals

  • Demonstrate growing ownership of several key dashboards or reports.

  • Show solid proficiency in SQL, DBT and Tableau, handling most common requests independently.

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with your internal customers.

  • Proactively investigate data anomalies and provide initial findings.

  • Proactively identify a data quality issue or an opportunity for a dashboard improvement.
