The Sr. Business Development Manager focuses on government engagement, driving sales, managing client relationships, and developing growth strategies for digital solutions.
This is a remote position.
Business Development Manager, Government Engagement role focuses on aligning Panamax’s product, service and ecosystem capabilities to solve for the challenges that government and associated organizations. This role builds relevance and generates revenue by strengthening strategic partnerships, winning project mandates and driving sales of digital platforms and solutions, deepening relationships with governments and associated organizations.
Roles and Responsibilities

- End to end channel & client relationship and Key account management.
- Developing growth strategies and plans majorly on Government vertical
- Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients and Increasing client base
- Forecasting, sales plan development, marketing plan execution with growth mindset.
- Achieve targeted sales volumes and value for assigned territory on monthly and year-on-year basis.
- Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
- Business generation from the new / untapped markets
- Working with key members of the project team and the client organization to obtain the information required to compile the bid
- Assessing and addressing the technical and commercial risks relating to the opportunity
Requirements
- Experience working for or closely with government agencies, managing process improvement and transformative change initiatives, as well as proven experience in engaging very senior government leaders to build durable relations
- Able to integrate knowledge across disciplines, including technology, operations, sales, product, marketing, compliance and risk.
- Proven track record in leading government projects and/or commercial deals in the assigned market. Experience of working on government business, tender process, managing government relationships, and co-developing a solution with government
- Consultative selling focused, with deep product, services, and solutions expertise.
- Ability to skillfully lead complex regional initiatives that require collaboration across functional, geographical and cultural lines.
- Self-motivated, thrives in a fast-paced environment; readiness to take-on stretch goals.
- Strong gravitas, exceptional relationship management, influencing and communication skills.
- Undergraduate degree required. MBA or graduate degree preferred.
- Fluency in the local language in the assigned market and English is required.
