JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

Driven Brands is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Business Analyst with a strong finance background and a proven track record in process improvement to join our Finance Operations team. In this role, you will work closely with business leaders, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive strategic financial analysis, identify process inefficiencies, and implement solutions that optimize operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial operations and have experience working on projects that improve business efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:Financial Analysis & Reporting:

  • Generate financial and operational metric reporting for leadership team.
  • Analyze financial data, trends, and performance metrics to provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues.
  • Perform data analyses as requested; develop and present ad hoc reports in support of various business process initiatives both internally and externally.

Process Improvement:

  • Lead initiatives to identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements that drive operational efficiency and enhance financial performance.
  • Map current business processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose streamlined workflows using industry best practices and lean methodologies.
  • Facilitate workshops and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that improve operational processes.
  • Interpret, evaluate, and interrelate research data to develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making.

Requirements Gathering & Documentation:

  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements for system enhancements, process changes, and automation initiatives.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for IT teams and external vendors.
  • Ensure alignment between business needs and IT solutions, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of projects.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across finance, operations, and IT departments to drive alignment on strategic objectives.
  • Communicate complex financial and process-related information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Monitor project progress and deliverables, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.

Continuous Improvement & Best Practices:

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization by applying data-driven insights and lean principles.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions for business process optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in finance, financial operations, or process improvement roles.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
  • Proven track record of working on cross-functional projects aimed at improving financial processes and operational efficiencies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Experience with Data Visualization tools and techniques, QlikSense or SQL knowledge a plus 
  • Familiarity with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and project management software (e.g., JIRA, Asana, MS Project)
  • Experience with coding languages including SQL, Python, and others

  • Highly collaborative team player. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with management and part of a team to meet targets. Able to take direction well, using active listening skills, asking questions and taking notes if necessary

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization

  • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt).
  • Experience with automation tools and technologies in finance (e.g., Robotic Process Automation - RPA).
