As a Sr. Business Analyst I, you’ll support IT and business system lifecycle management within a federal environment. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and documenting business needs and requirements, ensuring projects meet lifecycle milestones and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, development teams, and security professionals to drive process improvements and project success with the goal to make an impact across the federal government.

What you’ll do:
- Requirements Analysis & Process Improvement:
- Identify and evaluate business and system requirements to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Analyze real-time data to identify substandard system processes and recommend improvements.
- Perform quality assurance at every stage of the systems development lifecycle.
- Assist in defining the scope of proposed projects and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Project Management & Documentation:
- Create and maintain project schedules, tracking progress against milestones.
- Prepare and maintain project lifecycle documentation, including gate review materials, design documents, security plans, and configuration management plans.
- Develop and modify processes and procedures related to project execution.
- Conduct analysis of alternatives (e.g., COTS solutions, hosting environments) and provide recommendations.
- Reporting & Stakeholder Communication:
- Deliver status reports, briefings, and analyses to stakeholders.
- Prepare informative, data-driven presentations for management and project teams.
- Ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to mitigate project risks and issues.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Interim Secret Clearance required to start.
- 3-5 years of experience in business analysis and systems development.
- 2+ years of experience supporting federal customers in business analysis.
- Experience with Jira, MS Teams, and SharePoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills.
- Practical experience generating process documentation, management briefings, and reports.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while ensuring project deadlines are met.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
SALARY RANGE: $92,000 - $115,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
- The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
- The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
- Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
- This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
- Performance-based bonuses
- Company-paid training and/or certifications
- Referral bonuses
