Role Description
The Sr. Associate Escalation Analyst is responsible for managing escalated accounts receivable issues, driving resolution of high-risk balances, and supporting AR to cash conversion for high value accounts. This role is critical in driving proactive collection strategies, reducing aging balances, and minimizing bad debt exposure. The ideal candidate will be analytical, persistent, and skilled in high-risk account management and escalation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve Escalated Accounts:
Serve as the primary point of contact for second tier escalations, focusing on high-risk, aged, or disputed receivables. - Drive Resolution Strategies:
Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Legal, Customer Service) to resolve payment delays, disputes, and non-responsiveness. - Enhanced Collection Activities:
Execute targeted outreach and follow-up on overdue accounts, including final demand letters and pre-collections actions. - Skip Trace Research:
Perform advanced research to locate and engage customers with unreachable or outdated contact information. - Reporting & Analysis:
Monitor aging reports, track escalation outcomes, and provide insights to improve collections performance and reduce bad debt. - Process Improvement:
Identify trends and recommend process enhancements to streamline escalation handling and improve recovery rates.
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience in corporate collections, accounts receivable, or escalation management, preferably in a large enterprise environment.
Critical Knowledge/Skills
Technical Skills:- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, large datasets)
- SAP and Salesforce proficiency
- Complex account reconciliation
- Skip tracing and investigative research
- Executive-level communication
- Customer service in high-pressure scenarios
